Back in the 90s, we had a massive girl crush on Alicia Silverstone—we couldn’t get enough of her big-screen roles or her small-screen stint in those Aerosmith videos. Nowadays, the actress-turned-wellness guru is winning us over yet again with her brand new beauty collection. Together with Juice Beauty, Silverstone dreamed up this lip color, which contains a host of moisturizing organic ingredients. We’re certain Clueless’s Cher Horowitz herself would covet the gorgeous pink hue.
While I like the fragrance and texture of this lipstick, the color does nothing for me. It is moisturizing, but I need a slightly deeper/brighter color.3
I was super excited to try this product because being a 90s girl I was obsessed with the movie Clueless and I'd support anything Alicia is doing, especially a lip color with Juice Beauty who I also love. I'm usually a huge fan of mauve colors but this just wasn't a flattering color for my medium skin tone and blonde hair.. which I was surprised. It doesn't go on the same color as it looks in the pictures, its a few shades lighter. BUT it is SUPER moisturizing so I've just been pairing it under a darker shade or gloss!3
So the color you see is totally not the color of this lipstick. The real lipstick is a very pale pink/peach. I do not feel there is much bright pink in it at all. Be warned it is NOT this pretty pink. The texture is ok, it's not really smooth. There isn't really much to say great about this. It smells good and it's organic. Find this in your local store to see the true color in person.3
As others have said, the packaging on this is nice, the smell is great, and I love that it is organic. Unfortunately, the color is too light for me. I am very pale, with yellow undertones and this color makes my lips look too washed out. It is much lighter in person than in the picture. It is more like a nudey-pink. I really wish it were darker, I would wear it more often. I find myself not reaching for this often.3
When i took off the lid to the lipstick my first thought was it had a strong smell (one I didn't care for). when i put it on my lips it made me look like my lips were chapped. the color was lighter than my natural color, so it didn't look good on me. The color of the actual lipstick is lighter than what the picture shows.3
The color of this lipstick is paler than pictured. I won't be able to use it alone but have found that it works well as a base underneath other lipsticks or glosses. I like the cute cardboard tube but I would not buy this again unless darker colors were available.3
This lipstick is very pretty but it is not as nourishing as I had hoped. When I apply it I have to first use lip balms for extra moisture, otherwise it makes my lips look really dry and aged. The color is gorgeous but when applied it looks a bit too orange for my skin tone. I have added another sheer lipstick over it to correct that and it also helps with the dryness. Might not be the best lipstick for me, but props to Juice for the recyclable packaging and the vegan lipstick. It is very commendable!3
This is very nude on my fair skin; I would have liked a bit more pink to brighten my face. However, it is a shade that would work with many different skin shades. I appreciate the ecofriendly packaging, but the tube is difficult to twist. I ended up just leaving the lipstick up.3
I wore this shade to tea with a friend and the first thing she said was give me your lipstick! I will say the texture is a little different but not bad. I am very fair and my friend is a medium-tan and this color works for both of us. I am a sucker for lipstick, my vote is buy it!4
This lipstick was very soft, subtle, and light in both color and texture. My lips felt very smooth and velvety during wear. The color was very sheer, almost nude, but very flirty and feminine. I would purchase this product again.4
