Gift someone special this subtle, summery eau de toilette from Motor City designer John Varvatos. It’s the cologne equivalent of your favorite jeans and a just-washed tee: classic, cool, and easy-going. Even the packaging—a flask wrapped in hand-woven rattan—exudes laid-back class.
This is a nice, competent, fresh citrus fragrance. It doesn't last very long, but that's something it shares with most all classic colognes. Nothing harsh or unpleasant about the scent, but nothing really striking either. It does nothing wrong, but nothing really well. Very safe bet. Three stars.3
I like the smell and may use the sample to change things up from time to time. However, I prefer the cologne I already have.4
Very light scent. Not overly manly. It reminds me of the unisex scents that some other companies have come out with. I didn't hate it but I will also not buy it for myself.3
this is a great scent to put you apart from the crowd. the citrus in the cologne is the first thing i smell when i put it on and as the day progresses all of the earthy additions become more apparent.
it's perfect because it doesn't drown out everything else. i can still smell my morning coffee after i spray a little on.
I love this scent by John Varvatos. It has a crisp citrus-like scent which is easy on the senses. It is in no way a musky cologne.5
Citrus and pine -- that's what this brought to mind. Good stuff.4
I like Artisan. It's understated and masculine. It's not my favorite cologne, but as someone who rarely finds colognes that I like, this one appealed to my olfactory palette.4
This cologne has a nice fragrance. It smells good without being too strong. Doesn't have a chemical smell either like some fragrances.4
My hubby went out and bought a bottle of this after receiving it in his box. He (and I) love it so much! Not overpowering and very manly!5
I really like the fragrance, even though its not the best I've tried. I would recommended for everyday, particularly if you work in a very casual environment.3
