Like a (makeup-wearing) moth to a flame, we’re completely drawn to this trial-size trio of stila's luxe complexion finisher. Each blends seamlessly into skin—and unlike some other shimmer powders and creams, the liquid formula won’t cake, clog, or budge. Plus, the easy-to-use brush allows for precise, goof-proof application.
I got the pink one and while it was a generously-sized and nicely packaged sample, it's just not for me. I'm giving it to my younger cousin as a stocking stuffer instead of keeping it.2
I got the more pink one and while it is ok, it's not for me. Maybe something for the holidays or a special event but not an everyday highlighting product. Giving this to my younger cousin as a stocking stuffer instead of keeping it.2
The brush applicator is a little odd and the liquid was a bit too thin for me. I have to admit I received a pretty bad color for my skin tone so maybe I would have liked it better if I had gotten one of the darker shades. I got the pale pink and I have medium-tan skin. It just did not look good on me. If I used it with a light tough, it didn't even show up, but if I went heavier, it looked too pink or made my skin look sickly.
I think there are much better highlighters out there. Nars makes a really good one in some great shades for all skin types.
I would not use it due to the fact that I am very pale and tend not to wear things that show a lot of skin.2
I found it too liquid-y to be useful for the ways I wanted to use it (cheekbones, browbone). I don't use luminizer often anyway, and this one is more difficult to use than others I've tried.2
I received the lightest/palest shade of the luminizer in my November box. I was not impressed with it. The texture was a bit sticky/tacky and the shimmer was not what I would have hoped. I will stick with Benefit's High Beam.2
Pretty color and stayed all day, but didn't like the formula.2
If I had dry skin, I would probably love this. This completely slid off my skin.2
I don't think I really "get" this product. The applicator is so tiny it only goes on to a really specific area, and then if I try to spread it around it just rubs off almost completely. And I'm not sure how you would mix it with foundation for more all-over coverage -- it's really thick, so you can't exactly pour out a few drops and blend them. I think I'd have to use up practically the whole sample bottle just to make it visible.2
I was not impressed with the Stila Shimmer Liquid Luminizer. I really wanted to like this product and was really happy to see the sample in my Nov box. Although the texture is nice and it blends super easy, it had basically no color and what color there was, was gone within 30 minutes. Sadly, this is just not for me.2
