Like a (makeup-wearing) moth to a flame, we’re completely drawn to this trial-size trio of stila's luxe complexion finisher. Each blends seamlessly into skin—and unlike some other shimmer powders and creams, the liquid formula won’t cake, clog, or budge. Plus, the easy-to-use brush allows for precise, goof-proof application.
Though I think the product might be good for other people that I know, I don't think "all over shine" is really for me. I'm fairly simple in my makeup taste, so this was just a little too over the top for me. Though it looked nice on my eyelids and cheeks, I just don't like the glowing look that it gives.2
I'm not really into this product, even if I wanted a shimmer I don't think this would be the one I picked.2
I got the pale pink in my November box. My skin is fair but this stuff is difficult to see, even when gooped on. The subtle all-over sheen it mentions when mixed with fondation is what I get from using the product by itself. I have shimmery body lotions that have more coverage than this stuff.2
The Stila all over shimmer liquid luminizer is an interesting product. It isn't a bad product per se, but I am not into glittery stuff on my face. I also did not like that it did not seem to want to dry. However, I wiped it off my top eyelid when it started burning. Maybe I did not apply it correctly?2
I can see the appeal of this product, but it isn't for me. It looks great on my sister's olive skin, but not on mine.
I'm going to stick to Benefit's Dandelion for a brightener.
It does not provide enough shimmer to be a highlight and as a blush I do not find it that blend-able. I would prefer to use my mineralized skin finish by MAC for a highlight.2
It is probably just me and the fact that I am not a shimmery wearing kind of gal that made me a bit disappointed to receive yet another shimmer product. I think Stila makes other great products e.g. eyeliners and foundations, but their liquid shimmers are just lost on me. I will say that it least Stila's shimmer liquid is subtle so it could be flexible for day and night.2
I received this in one of my boxes, and decided to order the trio. I like it however I don't love it as much as I thought I would have. I think what really drew me to this product was the packaging. The trio is cute and let's you sample different color options. As for the product, it's a nice highlighter, provides slight shimmer without the glitter effect, plus it's a good size to throw in your cosmetics bag for on the go touch ups.3
I think it's only because I have a lighter toned skin that the shade I received didn't quite look right, so perhaps one of the other tones would work better for me. That said, love the texture and the "glow".3
I really liked all of the colors provided in the luminizer "try me" package. One thing that I didn't like about this product was that as soon as I put on any shade of this product, my foundation rubbed off with it. Kind of dissapointing.3
