Like other famous pairings throughout history—Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, Laverne and Shirley—salt and pepper just go together. Why not make it official? This slick gadget combines your kitchen’s two must-have seasonings while taking up less space.
After not too many uses, this product became stripped and would no longer grind my salt and pepper. I loved it when it was functioning, hoping it was a defect. I will try another.1
The salt side doesn't work after only using it 2 times…tried maneuvering it to fix but couldn't…very disappointing!
Would not recommend.
I wish more reviewers would wait to review household items until they have used it for a longer time period. This broke after less than 6 months. A metal post grinds into a plastic hole, just like another reviewer mentioned. Why would it be designed this way? Bodum has a one year warranty, but good luck getting them to honor it. I've been trying for months, and their customer service rep in NY has not been helpful. They sent us another grinder (that we didn't ask for) that has a metal post into a plastic hole, and it's not as cute as this one. It's very disappointing, because we loved Bodum in the past. We have a few products of their brand, and they've lasted for years. Not this one.1
The grinding notches broke off before i actually got to even use the product. A waste of money, I would not recommend this product .1
I loved this salt and pepper shaker when I first received it! However it only lasted me about 4 months before it broke. There is a metal piece that the top attaches to that turns and make the salt or pepper come out. The metal piece goes into a plastic piece witch is not stripped making it USELESS. Wish I never purchased and I'm sure it is to late to return.1
Because you turn the dial one way for salt and the other for pepper you often get both. This means too much salt or too much pepper for most foods.2
The most annoying thing about this product is the fact that my husband complains about it every time he uses it. I'm not as bothered by it. His main complaint is that some salt comes out with the pepper. It does, however I compensate by peppering first, then salting but using slightly less than I normally would. Sea salt works better than Kosher salt in this grinder in my experience.3
I thought this was a pretty cool kitchen gadget, so I ordered it. It's a really neat idea, but I feel like it doesn't work as well as I really expected. Not much salt or pepper comes out when turning the top, so it takes awhile to get as much as you need.3
Already breaking ... not impressed at all. Color is more yellow than green. Salt and pepper pre-fill are not flavorful.3
Not as good as I expected. The salt grinder side works great but the pepper grinder side doesn't seem to work very well. I was expecting better.3
