Sometimes the sequel is better than the original. Just when we hailed BB creams as the ultimate makeup multitaskers, along came CC creams. This 12-in-1 wonder from Juice Beauty offers more targeted anti-aging benefits than its BB counterparts, all while delivering a buildable layer of coverage. The creamy formula has a light, fruity scent and is designed to moisturize, prime, protect, and conceal imperfections all at once.
Honestly, I wasn't impressed with this product. I found it to be too dark for my skin, even though it was natural. It had a very oily texture and wasn't very easy to blend. It didn't smell very good either. I wouldn't recommend it if you already have trouble with oily skin, or if you're very pale. Maybe if you're darker or don't have a keen sense of smell?1
I was not a fan of this CC cream. I couldn't tell a difference after I put it on my face- not nearly as effective as some of the other brands I've sampled. Also, the smell is terrible!1
too scented and made me break out. would not buy this product.
This was the very first item I wanted to try out of my May Birchbox. I've been loving on the idea of one-cream-to-rule-them-all. I am a no fuss kind of gal so this seemed right up my ally. Not to mention that I've been hearing wonderful things about Juice Beauty and all of their products!
May I make a note of the sample size? It's TINY. Like super small. And half-empty (or full depending on your outlook on life). The package it came in made me think it would be much larger. But I digress... that is not the main issue I had with this product. Firstly it didn't blend in my skin very well and left an oily and yellow looking spot on my hand where I swatched it.
Secondly, the smell. Ew. Ew. Achoo! Ew. It is very flowery. Not the pleasant rose or lavender flower. I'm talking about the flowery rotten smell of fruit trees in the spring time. (It's spring so surely you know the smell I speak of) I don't know how anyone would be able to stand to have such a strongly scented product on their face all day! I personally think that face creams and makeup should hold on the fragrance and let a lady choose her own! I dapple in aromatherapy and I am familiar (and allergic) to this particular scent. They happened to use Neroli essential oil in their formulation. Which has been proven to be amazing for ageing skin. But also has that distinctly floral rot smell I would rather stay away from!
Let's just say this is one product I will pass on, thank you very much.
I love BB and CC creams, and I was excited to try this sample. However, I found the smell offensive, and the texture was just too sticky for me. It took a long time to absorb into the skin, which made the problem worse. YUK. I will not be purchasing this product in the future!1
I couldn't believe how bad this smelled! Normally I'm not picky about cosmetic fragrances, but this didn't even smell like a fragrance--it smelled like something had gone bad. It was awful! I had to wash it off. My husband could smell it from a couple feet away.1
I was so excited to try this product. I've tried CC creams in the past with always having a reaction to them. I thought that since this was natural it would be different. The scent made me want to rub it all over. I tried it out and about an hour later the rash started. Now im itchy and rash on face and neck. Be careful if you have sensitive skin!1
this product has a very strong (and to me, unpleasent) scent. i really didn't like it.1
Texture is good, but not enough coverage. I really wanted to like this product, but I couldn't get over the awful chemical smell this had. Not a fan.1
I have tried a couple cc creams that were thick and unwearable so I was excited about this light and organic one, but it truly does nothing. It has no coverage, no blurring effect, no pore minimization, and not much smoothing either. At best this is an ok under makeup moisturizer but in no way a makeup.1
