Sometimes the sequel is better than the original. Just when we hailed BB creams as the ultimate makeup multitaskers, along came CC creams. This 12-in-1 wonder from Juice Beauty offers more targeted anti-aging benefits than its BB counterparts, all while delivering a buildable layer of coverage. The creamy formula has a light, fruity scent and is designed to moisturize, prime, protect, and conceal imperfections all at once. It comes in two shades: Natural Glow, a pale beige best for light complexions, and Warm Glow, a golden beige best for light to medium complexions.
I'd have to agree with other users who have tried the sample. The smell wasn't a pleasant one at all, especially all over your face. When applying, I did not like the feel. It seemed really thick and not blending well with my skin. After it was applied and settling into my skin I must say I did like the color and non-cakey feel like I get with using MAC foundation.1
I agree with a previous post and did not care for the greasy-face feeling that the product left behind. The smell was something I found unpleasant as well.1
If you have sensitive skin I would think twice about getting this product.1
In general, this product didn't work very well for me. The smell is pretty bad ("medicinal" is the only word I can think of at the moment), and it made my face feel very sticky throughout the entire day. I have oily skin to begin with, so I think the thick texture and greasiness just wasn't working for me.
However, there were some good things (it just wasn't enough for me to keep using): because the texture is so thick, a pea-sized amount was enough for my entire face. Personally, it didn't work with my oily skin, but it's good that you get your money's worth with it. Also, the coverage was pretty good. I was using it in place of my normal foundation.
This is, by far, the worst CC cream I have ever sampled.
1) It's greasy and leaves your skin feeling like frosting for 20 minutes until it sets in.
2) It smells SO strongly of acidic flavors, it's kind of unbearable.
3) It provides no coverage whatsoever. I still had to use cover up and foundation to even out my skin tone which defeats the whole purpose of a CC cream.
4) The product has way too orange of a tint. It wasn't too dark, but it did make me look jaundiced.
Even drugstore makeups like almay and olay work better than this product. Disappointed.
I tried this thinking it would be like a concealer/ moisturizer. It's not. The smell is really funky and reading other reviews and directions- kind of scared me into scrubbing it off of my face. Sensitive skin. Wont buy.1
There is so much wrong w/ this product, where to start...
1) the product doesn't come out of it's container well at all. Even the cap is a pain
2) The smell is like herbs/roots. And it's VERY strong.
3) So thick you have to use moisturizer on top of it, just to put on your skin
4) It doesn't sink into your skin, so if you wear something like bare minerals on top, it will stick to your brushes.
5) This cost way too much for what you get
I was excited to get a CC cream in my birchbox, but was a little disappointed with the thick texture and scent of this one. It blends in well and the scent doesn't last long.1
Currently use BB creams and was very excited to try a CC Cream, but I did not like this product. It felt sticky and heavy and like it was just sitting on my skin the whole time. I felt greasy all day and couldn't wait tot get home and wash it off.1
I watched the "sneak peek" video on this, and I had such high hopes. I was super excited to finally be able to try a CC cream out, as I've used BB creams for several months. I loved the extras that it said it would do for women such as myself. I am getting older, and my skin wasn't treated as well as I should have when I was in my 20's. (WEAR SUNSCREEN LADIES!) It looked good on the back of my hand, and it felt good going on. It was easy to apply, just a little thick. However, I could not get over the smell. At first, it was bearable. It was a very earthy type smell, honestly it reminded me of forests. But as the product dried and I wore it for about 2 hours, it changed and I resulted to using hand soap at work to wash it off my face. I did not use any form of setting powder, and it remained pretty tacky even then. My hair would kind of stick to it. For me, it did not even my skin tone out, and I put on two coats. I have some dark spots, and redness around my nose and on my chin line. They were still pretty visible. I personally would not recommend this to my friends, and I'm hoping that it works for someone else!1
