For contact lens wearers and everyone else with sensitive eyes, this innovative tubing mascara is a true lifesaver. VMV set out to create a formula that would prevent raccoon eyes and unsightly clumps without sacrificing any volume-enhancing effects. Unlike any other mascara we’ve come across, it omits 72 of the most common skin allergens, and it’s 100 percent fragrance-free, dye-free, and non-comedogenic, meaning that the risk of irritation is nearly zilch. So go ahead and pump up those bare lashes!
In the past year I've had multiple styes. I've never had problems with mascara before and I always make sure I throw out expired products. Anyways, as a precaution I've been searching for a mascara that's great for contact wearers and hypoallergenic. This is by far the best I've ever used. It has the perfect thin brush and easy application. The color is not a strong black; it's a natural black. It doesn't irritate my contacts or eyes and it doesn't give me raccoon eyes. Eh! That's unattractive.5
It didn't flow onto my lashes as smoothly as I would have liked, great for bottom lashes though. I use it as a back-up.3
If I asked a magic genie for the perfect mascara, I would be receive Ooh La Lash in a poof of purple clouds. Makes my lashes beautiful, doesn't run, flake, or smear, and miraculously comes off with hot water (no soap!) at the end of the day. I used to only wear waterproof mascara out dancing for fear of sweating it off, but I don't even have to consider it anymore.5
I love how this mascara does not bother my contact lenses at all. Goes on easy, doesn't clump, and my eye lashes look natural, but full.5
I bought this mascara when the allergens in my home state were driving me crazy! I couldn't wear my regular mascara because I was having a reaction with everything else in the air. After trying this mascara I didn't have such itchy eyes. It adds length and isn't too heavy so it's great for the work place!4
I have very sensitive skin and recently some kind of change occurred causing me to have to ditch my long time fav, Lancome. My eyes can no longer tolerate the mascara or shadow. I've tried many alternatives and finally found all natural shadow that is made by a woman in Missouri. Good mascara still eluded me. I tried Almay, Clinique, Mary Kay, Arbonne and now this VMV. I found it to be a bit dry, flaky and it gave me absolutely no thickening or lengthening. I could get the same effect by just dying my eyelashes, honestly.
I used it 3 times and then retired it. I was actually bummed out that I ordered from here. If it were a department store, I could have returned it.
I have since discovered Tarte Mascara and I love it!
I got this mascara because my eyes where becoming sensitive to mascara and itching. I got this mascara and it was dry and crumpy. It's so dry you feel like you can't get it any out of tube. I don't know if I maybe got a bad tube, but I can't believe they sell any of this stuff. And it flaked so much I could see little black flakes all over my face by the end of the day. My eyes didn't itch but the product was useless.1
I was really excited to try this mascara, as I have very sensitive eyes and often have trouble with mascaras flaking into my eyes. This mascara gave me fantastic volume and length while not flaking or smearing at all. I even went to the hair salon and my closed eyes were spritzed with water during the appointment - still no raccoon eyes or flaking. I've tried what seem like millions of mascaras, and so far this is one of the best! Thanks Birchbox!5
