It's the biggest mistake a curly-haired girl can make. After working too much gel through your strands, they resemble a bowl of uncooked fusilli: curly, yes, but also hard and crunchy. Make the switch to this unique styling lotion, which adds definition and controls frizz without leaving your hair feeling stiff. Since the formula is water-based, it won't leave any sticky residue behind—and it's also humidity-proof. Best of all, the reactivating formula is ideal for styling between washes: When you dampen your hair, the serum kicks back in to smooth down unruly strands.
I liked what it did for my hair the first day, however it made my hair appear dull and frizzy by the second day. Because my hair is so curly and dry, I only wash it every few days…but with this product I had to almost right away to wash it out.3
This was not a miracle product. It seemed to tame my frizz somewhat but there are other products that are much better. Usually I wash and style my hair and it lasts 2-3 days between washes. I woke up the morning after using this product and it was just as frizzy as it would be without product. Maybe it will work the day you use it but otherwise this is not the miracle product it claims to be.2
Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper is my new obsession! I liked that I could let my hair air dry and not have all the frizziness. For my hair type, it worked really well and was lightweight compared to a lot of products I've tried. The smell wasn't the greatest but it wasn't bad either and luckily with my hair perfume I didn't notice any scent at all. I really liked that I didn't have any crunchy curls and they were all soft and natural.5
Being a curly-haired girl, I have tried COUNTLESS products over the years to control frizz. This is the first one that has actually worked. I'm considering buying stock in the company. I usually either straighten my hair or wear it up. The first time I tried this and wore my hair down and curly, I kept getting compliments about my "new haircut." I'm excited not only that this product exists, but also that it's so cheap!5
I have very fine curly hair. This product left my hair crunchy and looking wet. I air dry my hair. The frizzes were lessened but the product weighed my hair down so my curls were not as full as they have been with other products3
I didn't much care for this product. I have very fine, very curly hair, and it seemed to make the roots greasy and the ends dry. Maybe it was just coincidence, but my curls seemed particularly tangled the days that I tried this gel. It also smelled a little sulfuric, but the smell didn't linger after my hair dried.1
I wasn't expecting a curl/frizz product to be LIQUID, but it is...I guess because it's liquid, it didn't weigh my hair down at all. I guess it made my curls a little bit softer, but definitely didn't do anything to combat frizz or help shape my curls.3
I don't think this product works as well as Aveda be curly.3
I have tried this product a few times now and really wanted to like it but I am not fully satisfied. My hair is between a curl and a wave but I found that this product made my hair dry wavy. It definitely reduces the frizz aspect but did not enhance my curls as much as I would have hoped. The consistency is nice compared to a gel, but I have used drug store curl creams that I would prefer over this.3
I suppose this works, but I'm not crazy about the texture or the residue it leaves on my hair.3
