It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve given ourselves a mani—we always end up with stray polish all over our cuticles. Luckily, this German brand is out to make the whole affair easier. Considered one of the premier professional lacquer brands in Europe, alessandro crossed the ocean to bring us its rock-solid formula and specially designed bottle. With both bright, flashy colors and universally flattering neutrals, you’re bound to find a shade you love.
This nail polish was great and the color was very vibrant, however $12 seems a little steep as it did chip faster than usual.4
This polish color (the blue-gray) is a gorgeous, if unexpected, neutral. It looks like all the rest of the products in this line follow the same on-trend hue and value. Great color, favorite thing in the box this month!4
Love the Blue Lagoon color. Not a typical blue and probably not one I would have chosen by myself but once I put it on it looked great.4
I sampled alessandro Nail Polish in Blue Lagoon. I wasn't in love with the color, but I did like the polish itself. I applied a base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat and it lasted 5 days without chipping. I'm considering trying it in a different color. The Blue Lagoon was a little difficult to pull off at work.4
This rich opaque polish is perfect after 2-3 coats. The brush makes for easy application and the color (Blue Lagoon) is dark enough for winter but can also be worn year round.4
First thoughts: The blue color I got in my birchbox is a very lovely color on my skin tone. (olive? warm? etc.)
However Essie, is the only brand I have come across so far that is less likely to chip without a top coat.
This brand might be prone to chipping without a top coat.
I really loved the color. (Blue lagoon) It is just this perfect dark, muted blue that is so lovely. Perfect for fall/winter. It went on quite smooth, might not have needed two coats, but looked better with two. Good bottle and handle design. If they were not so outrageously priced, I would buy more. Call me old fashioned or just plain cheap, but I don't feel like nail polish should ever cost over $10.4
I was pleasantly surprised how nicely the polish (Blue Lagoon) went on. You do need 2-3 coats, but the coats go on smoothly and the brush is fantastic!4
I got the color Blue Lagoon and I love it. It's kind of a blue-violet; there's a hint of purple lurking in there. The color is chic and understated - as much as a blue can be understated. It seems to have pretty good staying power. I painted my nails 2 days ago and so far no chipping. The product went on smoothly and covered completely in 2 coats.4
I believe I received the Blue Nuit color in my box but I couldn't find the name anywhere on the bottle. I like the color a lot, it's VERY different than any color I already own. It's almost like a cloudy dark blue, I think it's pretty. You definitely need 2 coats, I was worried after I applied the 1st coat because it seemed very uneven but once the second coat was applied it looked good. I've only had it on for the day so I cant comment on how long it stays put but almost ALL nail polishes I've ever tried chip very easily on me so I try not to judge a brand just from that. The only complaint I have is that I didn't like the brush size. I like smaller bottles since I never seem to use an entire color before it dries up but the size of the wand attached to the brush made for an awkward application.4
