French women seem to have the uncanny ability to look effortlessly stunning. Before we all run out to buy striped sailor shirts and Chanel flats, it’s worth starting with the basics: our skin. This French brand’s two-in-one cleanser and makeup remover is made for dry, sensitive, and irritation-prone complexions. The amber-hued gel keeps skin’s moisture barrier intact while effectively melting away all signs of dirt, debris, and product residue.
Even if I needed a product like this (which I don't since I have switched to micellar water for makeup removal), I wouldn't choose this one. I can barely get past the smell to even identify how well it works. It has a sickeningly strong perfumed scent, so much so that I had to rewash my face to get rid of the smell. Seriously, it was giving me a headache. Beyond that, it doesn't seem to work that great. I went over my face with micellar water just to see if it had gotten all of my makeup off and it didn't. Doesn't lather easily either.1
Ugh, this stuff burns my face and doesn't do anything! The makeup smeared all over my face in gobs instead of coming off. It smells like a head shop, if you're into that kind of thing.1
I was already turned off by the consistency of the product, once I went to use it, the smell kept me from putting it on my face.1
I was excited to use this product from the description, but when I went to wash my face I couldn't deal with the smell of the product and didn't even use it.1
First, this smells divine, I wish it had worked better for me! I didn't get much of a lather from it, and it didn't really feel as if it got through my makeup. And I don't wear a lot on my face, BB cream and blush. It barely touched my mascara, only to smear it really. I did a second application with slightly improved results, but still had to go over with eye make up remover. Then I saw that it said to keep away from eyes, I get it, there's specific eye makeup remover but for me this seems like an unnecessary product in my bathroom.1
I hate the scent of this, so much so I cannot abide putting it on my face. I have gotten a different product from this brand before and it has the same scent. It is too much for a face product.1
I like oil cleansers in general because I like that they break down my makeup and rinse clean without making my skin feel dry or tight. This cleanser just didn't get my makeup off...at all. I had mascara all over my cheeks. I had to wash my face with another cleanser after. And lastly, the scent was overly perfumey (like grandma's perfume)...and I did not like it.1
I tried this facial wash for a week, and it made my face breakout. I didn't lie the smell either. Now, I do have dry, sensitive skin for the most part, but oily forehead. So this might not be the best product to use for it.1
First, there is no need for fragrances in face washes. For people with acne prone skin it's the worst. Second, this fragrance is overpowering and overdone. My face didnt feel clean at all. I started breaking out within a few days. I chucked the sample.1
First thing I noticed was the horrible smell, it just smells too strong. It also didn't clean my skin that great either. My overall verdict was that I thought this product was unpleasant. I used it once and probably won't be using it again.1
