French women seem to have the uncanny ability to look effortlessly stunning. Before we all run out to buy striped sailor shirts and Chanel flats, it’s worth starting with the basics: our skin. This French brand’s two-in-one cleanser and makeup remover is made for dry, sensitive, and irritation-prone complexions. The amber-hued gel keeps skin’s moisture barrier intact while effectively melting away all signs of dirt, debris, and product residue.
I liked it well enough and it did remove my makeup, but I already have my own facial products and makeup remover that have the same effect and cost a whole lot less.3
As with many birchbox lotions samples, if the sample size is too small, I don't feel like I can speak much to the effectiveness of the product. My skin did not break out or anything upon use. Did not notice a difference in my skin. Somewhat perfumey smell to it, not a bad one.4
My face is super sensitive but I was able to use this product without any issues. The smell is fabulous and it is amazing at removing my eye makeup. A+ make-up remover and facial cleanser (:5
Normally I wouldn't review something if I hadn't actually tried it. But I did try to try this, and the smell was overhwelmingly bad. I'm a girl who lives in NYC and I can handle smells... trust me... But this scent.. I don't know it just infiltrated my brain and I nearly panicked I could not get it off quick enough, I could not even finish applying the product. My boyfriend, who was in the shower with me, fled the shower and the room. There is absolutely no reason for this extreme floral awful scent.1
Love this cleanser! It left my skin so clean and soft.5
This facial cleanser seems to work quite well on my combination skin complexion. Dries it out a bit but I always use a moisturizer after cleansing anyways. The smell is unique, a little stronger than I prefer, but it did somehow clear my sinuses a bit which was much appreciated!5
The smell was a little too strong and left my skin dry and stingy. I'd go for another brand.2
First thing you'll notice will be the spicy smell; I didn't really mind it, but would have been just as happy if it was a little more subtle. I used the facewash with my clarisonic 1-2 times a day for about a week over the holidays (got 4-5 uses out of each sample packet). I generally liked the texture of the cleanser and how it made my skin feel, but no more than what I buy at the drug store. It doesn't work on mascara much at all, waterproof or otherwise, and burns eyes fiercely if you do try to scrub at your eye make up at all.4
I love that it's gel and actually works really well.5
I really like the way this face wash smells. It lathers nicely and leaves my face clean but not dry.5
