At the end of a long day we could all use a fresh start—and the same goes for our hair. When product buildup and styling stress leave strands feeling and looking dull, this clarifying shampoo, subtly scented with white freesia, golden amber, and warm musk, gently cleanses without stripping moisture or color. Black currant and soy restore vibrancy, acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants, oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage, and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan-friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.
I was so disappointed! I really loved the way this shampoo smelled. It has an amazing clean, fresh scent. However I have very long hair ( in layers, down to my waistline). The clear texture and the scent was great, but I felt like it really stripped the oils from my hair and did not replace any moisture. My hair was very hard to manage afterwards, I had to use a separate conditioning product to comb through with better ease because my hair was tangled! Another thing I noticed is that the scent does not last. In fact is disappears almost after you rinse and towel dry. I also felt I did not have enough shampoo in the little bottle to really lather up. I am not sure if that is why my hair was so tangled and hard to manage afterwards. Perhaps I needed more to really lather up and provide the nourishing effect my hair really needed. The usual small sample bottles or little bag samples do not provide enough product to get a good shampoo. That maybe why I also experienced very low suds! :( Maybe in the future birchbox can work with salon companies in asking us/customers a better detailed hair profile that covers lengths and types of hair. That way a customer can obtain a proper sized salon product in order to sample with honesty and better accuracy.2
Was too harsh on the hair left it dry feeling and not manageable2
I thought this shampoo was effective. I thought it made my hair feel stronger and healthier.2
Made hair oily and tangled
.....I will not buy this
This product was ok but I didn't like the way it smelled.2
This product worked fine, but I don't love the fragrance.2
The results from this shampoo were fine, but I found the texture difficult to work with. It was really thick and almost sticky, and did not emulsify well so I had to use a lot to get it through my hair. Also, I HATE getting shampoo samples without the matching conditioner to go with it (or vice versa). BirchBox has been doing that a lot lately and it's annoying so I'm going to start commenting on it in the reviews.2
This was just OK for me. I use a product currently that does a better job on my hair and it's cheaper. The scent of the Number 4 products is way too perfumey for me. I much prefer subtle and more natural scents.2
It was very hard to get this shampoo to lather. I applied a dab in my hand and put it in my hair but I wasn't able to move it around. I had to keep adding more and more until I was able to lather it. I loved the smell and the way my hair looked after using it but I had to use too much product.2
I used it and liked what I experienced so far. I may consider purchasing Full size when I run out of my usual go to hair care.2
