At the end of a long day we could all use a fresh start—and the same goes for our hair. When product buildup and styling stress leave strands feeling and looking dull, this clarifying shampoo, subtly scented with white freesia, golden amber, and warm musk, gently cleanses without stripping moisture or color. Black currant and soy restore vibrancy, acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants, oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage, and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan-friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.
As for clarifying shampoos, the one from Nuetrogena is better as a shampoo. I like the smell of the sample product better.2
I like to use clarifying shampoos like 2 or three times a month to remove product build up. I liked this shampoo, and the sample size was mice, but I didn't feel super clean after the wash, and maybe that was the scent. A heavy floral and also kind of hippie musky smelling. I like my head to feel clean and cooled and fresh, not like incense. Also, It didn't see to lather much :(2
The product was extremely thick and sticky. I have fine, thin hair so I think this product was a bit harsh. I didn't think it smelled very good either, but hey, that's just me. It might work better on other hair types.2
I didn't really get the clarifying aspect of this. This shampoo made my hair feel really heavy and greasy looking. I liked the smell of it though, but wasn't impressed with how it made my hair feel.2
I wasn't a fan of this shampoo. I don't have super dry or oily hair to begin with. This product made my hair look greasy shortly after drying it.2
The first time I used this I made the mistake of not reading the instructions, and just dumped the usual amount of shampoo on my hair. Eek! It was super thick and really hard to rinse out. I ended up using my regular shampoo to try to wash this stuff out. So the second time I used it I read the instructions and put a TINY bit in my hand and mixed it with water. I still think it was really hard to rinse out and it didn't really seem to do anything fabulous with my hair at all. I wouldn't bother with this one.2
I see there are a lot of good reviews, but my hair get oily very soon using this product. I don't feel clarifying. It might be just not for me.2
I was having some issues with dull winter hair so I was very excited when this arrived in my December Birchbox. The scent was nice, but when I tries to rinse the super rich lather from my very thick hair it was nearly impossible. I live in an area with fairly hard water and this is never an issue for me. I had to rinse so long, I felt like i ended up stripping my hair.2
I am very sensitive to shampoos with sulfates which is why I was excited to try this one but unfortunately there was still something in it that made me break out in hives. The smell was fine. My hair, even after I conditioned, felt a little dry and tangled while I blow dried it which usually happens when a shampoo has too harsh of a cleanser in it.2
I'm confused by this product because it got great reviews. I only wash my hair three times a week and tried to use it on a normal wash day. It says to use a small amount but it doesn't lather and I have long hair and a lot of it. I ended up using too much and by the time I was able to rinse it all out I was left with greasy hair. It felt like I hadn't washed it at all. I wish I had gotten similar results to everyone else because it seems like it could be a good product.2
