Number 4™ Clarifying Shampoo

At the end of a long day we could all use a fresh start——and the same goes for our hair. When product buildup and styling stress leave strands feeling and looking dull, this clarifying shampoo, subtly scented with white freesia, golden amber, and warm musk, gently cleanses without stripping moisture or color. Black currant and soy restore vibrancy, acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants, oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage, and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan-friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.

Smells great, nothing revolutionary
Sampled

The most appealing aspect of this shampoo was the fragrance. As for its clarifying properties, it seemed to work just like any other clarifying shampoo and for the price you can go to the drugstore and buy Neutrogena clarifying shampoo for like $9.

Okay...

This shampoo as promised, didn't lather very much. It did do its job and cleaned my hair. Smells fantastic and works great. Would recommend.

Nothing special
Sampled

I have cheaper shampoos that get the job done--just as well, if not better, than this one. This isn't particularly exciting to use.

Difficult to lather
Sampled

I realize that this clarifying shampoo was created as a low lather shampoo, but it's almost TOO low lather and difficult to spread around my hair. I've been on the search for a great clarifying shampoo for years now and had high hopes for this one. I really wanted to like it, but since it was so difficult to lather and spread around, I won't be buying this when my sample runs out.

Really thick and hard to create suds
Sampled

I have a lot of fine hair and struggled getting the thick shampoo to suds. The smell was good but it left my hair very tangled. So far, I am happy with drug store shampoo and conditioners and not own over by these over-priced shampoos and conditioners.

Nahh

As I stated before when reviewing the same brand's reconstructing mask (that I liked better than the shampoo btw), this just wasn't any more effective than my Garnier I get down the road at my drugstore.

Something to consider
Sampled

I already have a shampoo/conditioner set that I love for daily use and have no current plans to switch, but I would consider this product in the future if I was shopping around specifically for a clarifying shampoo.

Ok but shampoo doesn't work well
Sampled

This line of No 4 wasn't effective for me, though I like the other No. 4 products. Just didn't lather properly or feel very effective.
