At the end of a long day we could all use a fresh start—and the same goes for our hair. When product buildup and styling stress leave strands feeling and looking dull, this clarifying shampoo, subtly scented with white freesia, golden amber, and warm musk, gently cleanses without stripping moisture or color. Black currant and soy restore vibrancy, acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants, oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage, and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan-friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.
When I first tried the shampoo I didn't think I was going to like it. It felt heavy going on to my hair, which made me think it wasn't going to work very well. I followed it up with the hair mask that came in my box and let that sit on my hair for five minutes. After styling my hair it felt very clean. Normally my hair gets pretty oily after only one day but this shampoo gave my hair life for an extra day. I gave it a second try and lathered it better into my hair, I got even better results. I like this shampoo and will possibly be purchasing a whole bottle.4
Work like most nothing to speacil about it but hey it works and that what counts3
A great low-poo clarifying shampoo that doesn't completely strip the hair of moisture when rinsing out, which is a common problem with shampoos.4
Because this shampoo is sulfate-free it doesn't lather. That's fine but it didn't feel as though it was cleaning my hair. Once I rinsed it out, my hair felt like it had oil dripped on top of it. No matter how much rinsing I did, the feeling didn't go away. Really strange.3
This was a good shampoo. It felt great and smelled great. My hair was smooth and not weighed down after using it. I am very loyal to my current shampoo though4
I received this sample in my March 2016 birchbox.
The sample is wonderful. The smell is great.
I have pretty long hair, almost a foot and a half, and I got a good four uses out of the sample size, so a little bit does really go a long way with this product. I imagine you would get months of use out of the full sized product.
I have tried this shampoo a few times. While it seems to get my hair clean I don't know that it does it exceptionally well. The smell doesn't do much for me.3
I have an oily scalp and fine hair, so I'm always looking for a really good shampoo to clean but not strip my natural oils (to throw the sebaceous glands into hyperdrive--usually shampoos with sulfate/any derivative of sulfate do this), so I was originally excited about this sample. However, about 3 hours after washing my hair, it's very limp and stringy, and I could have gotten more volume and the same degree of clean from my usual shampoo. It was also super thick, almost like honey, when I put in on my hair.2
I really loved the way this shampoo smelled! When I first put it on, it seemed like it was going to be one of those shampoos that don't have any suds, which I don't like. It did wind up sudsing after a few minutes. Afterwards my hair styled as normal, which was good, but I can't say I noticed any difference at all, so I wouldn't see any need to buy this (other than the smell!).4
This shampoo was very concentrated so it makes for a couple of uses but it did however, dry my hair out. With damaged hair, dryness is no good!2
