Edward VII of England once referred to Cartier as "the jeweler of kings and the king of jewelers." Given the brand’s all-star lineup of scents, we’d like to add “king of fragrances” to the royal roster. With layers of pepper, sandalwood, and rose, Cartier’s classy Declaration d'un Soir is a bold and unexpected mix guaranteed to give the Birchbox Man on your shopping list the air of heirs.
Not a huge fan of this fragrance. Went to toss it to my husband, and it shattered on the floor when he dropped it. The smell was everywhere. I don't recommend.2
I figured that because this cologne costs so much that it would smell amazing on my husband, but I was wrong. While he likes the smell, I find it to smell like an older or even elderly man. He is 28 and is too young to be wearing this scent. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 50.2
As guys fragrances go, this was just okay! I gave it to my guy to try and we both agreed it was not bad but not something he'd want an entire bottle of. A nice change for a few days and that was about it!3
Not my kind of scent for a man and my bf isn't that big into it either. But he also doesnt wear cologne very often at all.3
I liked this fragrance but my husband does not. I think this is one of those fragrances that is a love it or hate it type. I really liked the sandalwood in this, I just wish my husband did!3
I gave this to my husband to use and he thought it was a bit too spicy for him, a little too heavy for daily use. This may suit an older man, who likes a spicy, woody fragrance.3
My husband actually liked this, and he almost never wears cologne. I don't think there's anything that really stands out about the scent; it seems to be a common, slightly spicy mix similar to what you can find in other men's products. But it is nice to smell on him now and then.3
I gave this to my brother because my BF doesn't wear cologne. I couldn't decide if I liked the scent but he really did so it worked out! I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about it. I liked the female version better.3
I don't personally have a use for this cologne, being female. But I have to admit, I did take a little sniff. And I wouldn't mind if my guy smelled like the new Cartier Declaration D`un Soir. I believe I will put it to use as part of the gift wrapping on a Christmas present for one of my male giftees this year. I'm sure it will be appreciated.3
The Cartier Declaration D'un Soir is a very lovely cologne for men. This smell would be best fitted for a more of a regal gentle men, the type that sips lattes & uses pomade. I had given the sample to my beau to try out and unfortunately this pleasant smell did not fit my giant caveman linebacker boyfriend. Ya smell has got to match ya personality!3
