Highlighted and color-treated hair can easily become dry and damaged. Most color-specific products temporarily mask the problem, the haircare equivalent of slapping a band-aid on a gaping wound. Kérastase’s Bain Chroma Riche shampoo is different: the formula actually repairs texture to give you softer, healthier, and shinier hair. Not only will your tresses look more beautiful, but they’ll also smell amazing—a nice perk.
I read some of the reviews that said they loved the smell, and quite frankly, I don't get it. Not only did it take my breath away (and not in a good way) in the shower, but it left my hair feeling sticky and hard to manage. I received this in my Mystery Pack, and was pretty excited about trying it. I rarely write a review about something unless I absolutely love it, or in this case, want to warn others. It may end up being great for you, but I wouldn't spend the money unless I sampled it.1
I received this product in my Mystery Pack, so I don't have to write a review, but I feel so strongly about this product I am. I was hopeful to find a cleanser that would help protect my colored hair. But after 2 washes my hair was left feeling gross. It was heavy, and despite the fact that I use Beauty Protects - leave in conditioner I still couldn't run my fingers through my hair. I usually only wash my hair every other day, but I had to wash my hair both times, the day of this cleansers wash. Not recommended.1
I love this shampoo. I bought the special birch box for color treated hair and loved everything in it. The shampoo is a luxury along with the condition and mask that was included in the box. If you dye your hair every 6 weeks like me this is a must have brand.5
I have been using this product for approximately 3 months now. What a differeece it has made. My color lasts longer, my hair feels like butter when used with the conditioner. Trick told by a stylist was to condition first than shampoo....best advice I ever got!!5
I cannot say enough about Kerastase products, they are AWESOME. The price is a bit ouch....but once you use these products the cost will be a distant memory. It makes your hair feel healthy, soft and well hydrated.5
I have color treated hair, and grey hair that is stubborn about keeping its blonde color. This shampoo does a nice job helping to keep my color fresh. I feel like it does dry my hair a bit, so using a nice conditioner (like the Kerastase color conditioner) is a good idea when using this product.4
All Kerastase products are high quality, effective, and extremely concentrated. If you have short to collarbone length hair, the investment is worth it if you rotate 2 or 3 shampoos and do not wash daily. This product is exceptional for Afro/Caribbean hair, dry thick hair and heavily processed hair. Lots of moisture and shine.4
I received a sample of this as part of my Mystery Sample Pack and was very pleased! It smells great and makes my hair shiny and healthy and doesn't weigh it down. The UV protection is an extra bonus because UV rays always make hair color fade faster.5
I really like this particular product, as it smells nice and makes my hair moist and fluffy at the same time. It also protects my lightly tinted hair from loosing it's color and gives my hair a soft and gentle bath. I love most of th Kerastase products, as they are a high quality product made in France.
I definately recommend this shampoo.
Yes, it's a bit on the expensive side. Yes, it smells amazing, and yes, it is worth every penny. I would save pennies to keep this in my bathroom.5
