When perfumer Romano Ricci set out to create an elegant ode to the classic rose, his noble intentions were foiled by a lab technician who accidently added too much cetalox, a synthetic substitute for grey amber, to the mix. The serendipitous mistake turned out for the best, since it resulted in Mad Madame, a bewitching blend of sophisticated notes and modern musky scents.
I did not like the smell. I prefer more fresh scents. This smelled too heavy and old lady like. Not for me!1
It doesn't smell bad, it's just not the type of scent I or any of my friends would choose to wear, especially for the price. It's too floral and too musky together. It smells like something I might enjoy wearing when I'm much older. It's more of a scent I associate with older women.1
totally not into this product at all the smell was awful especially for the price! yikes!!1
This smells too much like an old lady perfume for me as a 28 y/o women to wear. It was very strong1
I have problems with floral perfumes, and this one is very very floral. If you like rose, it's probably wonderful, but as someone who prefers fruity or spicy scents, this one isn't for me.1
didn't like the scent at all. Wouldn't purchase if I did because the price is too high. I am a perfume fanatic but would never spend that much on a bottle of perfume.1
I found the fragrance to me too strong and distinct for my liking. I will not be wearing it.1
I did not care for this scent. it was very strong and just not my taste.1
Not my taste for perfume. Very strong floral smell. Did seem to last a while which would be good if you liked the smell.1
This scent is too masculine for my taste. It actually smells like the Old Spice my father use to wear when I was a child. I also noticed that they spelled start = strat on the little card that came with the product. For $110 full-size, I definitely can not take a product seriously if they don't even bother with a spell check.1
