When perfumer Romano Ricci set out to create an elegant ode to the classic rose, his noble intentions were foiled by a lab technician who accidently added too much cetalox, a synthetic substitute for grey amber, to the mix. The serendipitous mistake turned out for the best, since it resulted in Mad Madame, a bewitching blend of sophisticated notes and modern musky scents.
This product is either one you will love or dislike. It is definitely not for everyone. I would suggest testing it out before buying.2
This smell was a little too strong and intense for me. I get a very edgy rock and roll vibe in this scent...not what i am going for.2
I think maybe I just have a problem with rose scent. I couldn't get into this perfume, I feel like whenever I smell rose it just goes into the old lady territory or something. I think there was an underlying blackberry scent to it that helped somewhat, but still didn't like it....2
I am not one for rose smells or musky notes. This was great to try and smell but it just didn't work out for me.2
This perfume sample was disappointing. The packaging is attractive and edgy, but I could not get past the fragrance right out of the bottle and actually apply it. Very hard edge to it. Not for me.2
Pretty scent but not my style. Definitely like the rocker's edge design and packaging and I really want to like it but it's too strong for me.2
This perfume is not for me. It has a very strong scent that is a little to musk, but I generally prefer lighter smells. It would give me a headache if I wore it all day.2
It is a very strong pungent scent that I don't enjoy. It has a smell of a much older generation that may enjoy it.2
I was not into the scent. It was a little too strong for me.2
I didn't go for the smell of this. It reminded me of my grandmother's perfume. I like sweeter, softer scents and this was just too heavy for me.2
