This eyelid primer is the Thelma to your eye shadow’s Louise. The velvety formula guarantees that colorful shadows stay bright and smudge-free for hours. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the sheer formula blends in seamlessly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue on your lids.
My eyeshadow stuck to it well, but it didn't really allow the eyeshadow to blend on my eyelid. It also made my liquid eyeliner smudge off, which never happens--I can usually even sleep with my eyeliner on over night without it budging.2
I don't use much shadow on my eyes, so this product wouldn't be one I would go out of my way to purchase. It did, however, work as advertised.2
I'm a huge fan of eyelid primer, had been wanting to try this product, and am a big fan of other The Balm products, so I was thrilled to have the chance to sample this product. However, I was pretty disappointed. The primer is pretty thin in consistency, and slightly oily or something. It took a little longer to dry than I anticipated. But the worst was that by the end of the day, my eyelids were more oily than they usually are!
I don't wear a whole lot of eyeshadow only because it irritates my eyes. however, for the sake of sampling the product i used it before i went out one night and another day when I went to work. both times, clearly in different atmospheres, my shadow stayed on for significantly longer than it usually does. i would recommend it to people who are more into eyeshadow, unfortunately i'm not one of those people :)2
I thought this was greasier than it should have been. My eyeshadow did not stay put and ended up in my crease worse than ever. No thanks.2
I was really excited to try this product out - my eye shadow loves to hide in the crease of my lid after a few hours at work. It just didn't work for me. It held onto the shadow right after application, which interfered with my blending routine. After that, it just got sucked right into the crease with all the shadow, so I ended up needing to reapply, right on schedule.2
This product did not meet my expectations. It was just "okay". I've tried other brands, which were cheaper with better results.2
Enjoyed the product and glad to have a sample, however for me it isn't something I would need or use.2
I wasn't that impressed with this product. I thought it worked okay, but I didn't feel like it held my eye makeup as well and as long as I would have liked. think there are other brands out there that do the job much better.2
My eyes started tearing up and after 3 weeks it started burning my lid, to the point it was causing welts. I have used other primers and I love everything theBalm, just not this.2
