This eyelid primer is the Thelma to your eye shadow’s Louise. The velvety formula guarantees that colorful shadows stay bright and smudge-free for hours. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the sheer formula blends in seamlessly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue on your lids.
I don't often use base products but found this one to be somewhat pointless. It didn't seem to be of benefit.2
I thought this product was overly sticky and didn't allow for easy blending of my shadow. I've tried less product and it doesn't seem to lesson the effect.2
My eye shadow didn't go on evenly after using this product. Maybe I didn't use the product right.2
My eye makeup started to breakdown and crease after 8 hours. I have used other primer that gave me 12+ hours of wear, so I was not impressed.2
I have very oily eyelids and have a difficult time keeping eyeshadow and liner throughout my 12 hour work days. This primer was greasy and did not work for me at all. My eye makeup was gone early in the day and I would have been better with no primer at all. My $1 drugstore eye primer works much better than this2
I was really hoping to like this primer. I have a few other items from theBalm that I love! This wasn't one of them. For a primer, it was just too oily and didn't do its job. Too bad- the packaging is super cute!2
This eye primer is just OK. The packaging is too cute for me and the primer caked on me. Not my cup of tea.2
I've given this a few chances, but just can't love it. It does its job and doesn't crease, but on me, it was very dry - and would actually flake off. I also noticed it was difficult to get off while washing my face.2
I get contact dermatitis easily and this primer seemed to make it act up. I used once without having any reaction and it seemed to make a real "canvas" for your eyeshadow. Not a bad product just something I can't use.2
Goes on clear when it looks like it would have a tint. Does a pretty good job of keeping the shadow on all day and not clumping eyeliner and makeup at the crease of the lid.3
