This eyelid primer is the Thelma to your eye shadow’s Louise. The velvety formula guarantees that colorful shadows stay bright and smudge-free for hours. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the sheer formula blends in seamlessly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue on your lids.
I've used several other eye primers. This primer didn't work any better or any worse than the primers that I have used in the past. I probably won't purchase this product, because there are others that work just as well and cost less.3
I didn't particularly like the texture of this product. It seemed a little too watery when i put it on. Also, my eyeshadow only stayed on for a couple hours and then almost completely disappeared.3
It certainly holds makeup in place, but it doesn't go on smoothly. It took some serious blending to get it to sit right... not willing to put that much work into an eye primer.3
I am still on the fence. It's not bad, I was just hoping for more. I wish it had a bit of a tint/cover to it. Neutral or shimmer would be nice to make my eyeshadow pop a bit more. I use a MAC primer right now and that's what I love about it.3
It's a lot lighter than the primer that I normally use and prefer a primer with a little more coverage; but it did work to keep my eyeliner in place all day, so it did do it's job.3
Okay, I'm obsessed with theBALM's Mary Louminizer, but this just didn't make the cut for me. Overall, it's an okay product, but I think it could be better.3
I usually don't use eye shadow primer but I do find it necessary in some situations. I found the texture a little oily and wasn't that impressed by it.3
Not sure if I like this product yet. Felt strange to put something on under my eye shadow. No smearing, but also felt that my eye had another layer on it.3
this worked pretty well, but like another reviewer mentioned, i prefer a primer that neutralizes my lids (i have dark lids in addition to dark circles - aren't you jealous?). i would recommend it to someone who would prefer or is fined with a clear primer. i will keep the sample in my kit at work for emergencies.3
I love The Balm products, but I usually don't use an eyeshadow primer. I really think that a good eyeshadow should last without it.3
