This eyelid primer is the Thelma to your eye shadow’s Louise. The velvety formula guarantees that colorful shadows stay bright and smudge-free for hours. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the sheer formula blends in seamlessly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue on your lids.
I've been using this balm every day since receiving it in my January BB. The little sample has gone a long way! It not only helps shadow stay put throughout the day, but makes my lids feel soft and moisturized. Other primers have made my lids dry, so this is a nice change. Love it!5
This is the perfect eyelid primer. Keeps the eyeshadow on all day. Goes on very light. I never used to think primers were that important, but now I will never put shadow on without it. Highly recommended.5
I really like this stuff a whole lot! it works better than the ones I have used in the past. It held on place until the next morning! its a quality sample so once it runs out I will repurchase.5
Outside of the cutest and the most clever packaging, I absolutely love the texture of this eye primer. I've used this with my high end shadows and drugstore shadows and found that even the cheapest shadow looks better and stays on longer with this primer. I'm really starting to dig The Balm products.5
I didn't particularly need the product. I got it in my box, but I guess my logic is if my eyeshadow is already amazing, then why spend more money to get an identical look? It's a primer, but my eyeshadow stays in place and doesn't smudge or crease regardless.3
This stuff is awesome. It goes on somewhat greasy, but don't let that fool you. Once you put your makeup on top of it, it will be dry and WILL NOT MOVE until you take it off.
My skin tends to like making oil, and my eyelids are no exception. Powder eye shadow tends to migrate on my eye and make nasty looking creases within an hour of leaving the house. Not with this eyelid primer. It stood up to Mardi Gras in muggy, humid Galveston, Texas. What else need I say?
I've been using a eye primer by another brand for awhile, but went ahead & tried this one because I love my other theBalm products so much. I like it a lot. It definitely helps keep my eye makeup in place. It'll be a tough decision when it's time to buy either this one or my old brand.4
This is a fantastic primer. I tried this side by side with my current primer, and it won hands down.5
This came as a sample in my January birchbox. After reading the reviews, I have to believe that my sample must have been bad because it was oily, separated (like oil/water) and didn't seem to dry on my eyelid (stayed wet). Even with the strange texture issues, I also didn't notice that it did anything in particular, one way or the other might as well have not used it at all).2
I love this stuff! It is not shimmery, unlike some eye shadow bases. I have very oily skin and by the end of the day I barely have an eye shadow crease. Keeps my dark shadow looking good all day.4
