This eyelid primer is the Thelma to your eye shadow’s Louise. The velvety formula guarantees that colorful shadows stay bright and smudge-free for hours. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the sheer formula blends in seamlessly and doesn’t leave any kind of residue on your lids.
I will not use eyeshadow without a primer. This one works well and gets the job done, but is not my favorite. I prefer a primer that is a little thicker.3
Really who wants one more step in their makeup routine. Add the product to eyeshadow and I would be interested. But another step - no thanks. I would rather touch up after 8-10 hours, if needed.1
Never knew I needed an eyelid primer, but boy howdy do I love the way my eye makeup looks after using this!4
when putting on this product, it felt a little oily. It worked really well at keeping my eye shadow on thru the day, even with little hands touching my face.4
This is definitely a product that will be incorporated into my daily routine going forward. Once this is on your eyelids you cannot feel it and shadows and liners dont move or smudge a bit. I love this and cannot imagine my life without it!5
I have somewhat oily, aging eyelids, but this easy to use lid primer helps shadows--even creme formulas--last all day. theBalm's packaging is so much fun, too.5
This primer is great! It keeps my eyeshadow in place, bright and beautiful, all day until I wash my face. I've used Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer for years but I think this one has better staying power, and you only need the tiniest bit on each lid. It does have a slight light tint to it, which is normally covered by shadow, but if you have an errant bit on your eyelid it is noticeable. Plus it's only $18 for the full size, which isn't too bad, so buying it is actually an option!5
I thought this was going to be sticky, and make my eyeshadow feel cakey - but it was VERY light and smooth! I'm considering buying this for sure!3
I can't attest to how well this makes eyeshadow stay on the lids because I have never noticed having a problem with that WITHOUT this product. I will say, however, that I noticed I did not have to use as much shadow to get the look I wanted.3
I only have good things to say about this lid primer. It goes on creamy and smooth, takes just a few moments to set, and lasts all day.4
