When the weather doesn’t cooperate with your ‘do, a good hair spray can save you with just a spritz. This luxe variety from hairstylist-to-the-stars Serge Normant keeps strands in line in the face of humidity, heat, precipitation, and more. The ultrafine formula provides a long-lasting, invisible hold and instantly adds volume. Made with nourishing Atlas cedar extract, it also strengthens weak strands and repairs damage.
Deluxe travel size was perfect for slipping in my purse, and this hairspray definitely keeps everything in place, but it definitely does not give the most touchable texture--it left my hair sticky and stiff even one day after using. Great for keeping things in place but only to use if I am going to wash my hair after!4
Maybe it was my bad experiences with hairspray in the 80's, but as an adult, I've never been much of a hairspray user. That said, the smell was good, there was (only) a little crunch and the hold was good. Not an everyday product for me, but something I would feel comfortable recommending to hairspray aficionados.3
I don't often use hairspray because to achieve a styled look I often get that crunchy-hair situation, or my hair loses bouncibility (now a word) and shine. This may be the very best hairspray that I've tried. After styling, sometimes my layers sort of fade into each other and my hair gets that weird undefined look. After using Serge Normant, I was able to work the layers out so that I actually looked styled. Not only that, but I used sort of a lot and in no way did my hair get crunchy (I was putting my bangs in their place, they tend to get out of hand). In fact, my hair was the opposite of crunchy. I had used the spray all over, but my hair was as soft as if hadn't used any product. It was soft, shiny and "run your hands through-able". Through the day it kept my hair looking styled, even my bangs with usually get wonky at the slightest bit of sweat (it's super hot where I live right now) or humidity. For keeping my bangs tame, I cannot but assume that I could emerge from a wind tunnel, shake my hair out and fluff it a bit and still have fabulously styled and soft hair.5
This hairspray is nice, but to me, it's just like most other hair sprays. I don't, however, use hair spray every day. Smells nice, but I won't be paying $25 for a bottle of it...4
I only use a bit on my bangs and on my part to keep the fly aways at a minimum. But this stuff made me want to use hairspray more often! The smell was great and it never made my hair feel crunchy, which is always a plus. It just feels luxurious!!5
I use hairspray everyday, so I was happy to try this new product. My first observation was the smell! Totally different than the alcohol like smell of a lot of hairsprays on the market. It smells great! Secondly, it did the job to lightly set my hair without weighing it down. I am not sure if it would be the best spray, however, for a really strong set.4
I wish you had another category like may purchase the product not yes or no4
The packaging is beautiful, art deco inspired but it smells like drugstore perfume. It does leaves hair soft and shiny with a nice hold and UV protection is a plus.4
I really like how this product holds. It helps to lock in the work of the flat iron, which is difficult for my hair to do. I like that it doesn't counteract the work of my other products, which keep my hair silky.4
I am not one to use a lot of product in my hair or style my hair on a daily basis; I have bleached it to the max so I try to keep extra stress to a minimum. I did decide to straighten my hair and part it far to the other side--but my hair is stubborn and usually has other plans. To my delight, this hairspray was not at all stiff or sticky and my hair stayed parted correctly even through day two. Plus it smells yummy4
