In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
This is really good if all you are looking for from a dry shampoo is texture and "grittiness." It has a pretty nice scent, not overwhelming, but if you're looking for oil absorption, this is not the one. I felt like it made my hair look dirtier.2
I have very dark brown hair and this product didn't give me a white cast in my hair like many dry shampoos do. However, the smell lingers so if that is not something you like I might skip this one.4
I actually did not really like the smell of this product, however, I really liked the size. Very convenient in a pinch!2
This product's smell did not appeal to me, since it was more like an oppressive cologne than a fresh shampoo. Also, it is way too easy to spray too much on. It immediately crusts, making hair difficult to manage or brush through, and feels worse than just having oily hair. Even the trick where you spray dry shampoo the night before and sleep in it does not work with this stuff.1
Works great and smells great and it doesn't leave your hair white and powdery like most others dry shampoos do.5
I'm a personal trainer & spin instructor so my locks get sweaty 7 days out of the week but don't get washed every day. This is my absolute favorite for the in between. It absorbs oil like crazy so I don't look a complete mess when I get in front of a client or a spin class. For others like me who don't naturally have a lot of volume to their hair this is a wonder product!5
This works wonders for my extremely thick hair. I don't use this as my 'day of' or 'day after' dry shampoo. I use a different one for that. This is best for special events or 'it's been 3-4 days and I have no time to wash my hair' days, because there is too much product buildup the next day. I love this dry shampoo above all others though, because it never leaves my brunette hair ashy and it provides AMAZING volume. Like, I flip my hair back over after brushing it out, and it's 'Howdy, Texas!' time! That much volume is nearly unheard of for my hair, since it's so long and thick.5
I felt like this left a white cast on my dark brown hair. It also has a strong smell like baby powder and I am not a fan of that. It was nice that it came in travel size so you could use it on the go.1
As a dry shampoo, I didn't care for this product. It made my hair feel heavy and dirtier after using it. I don't think it did a good job of absorbing oil. That being said I've been using it to add volume and grit as a texturizing spray and it works great for that. Probably won't buy it again.3
I keep this in my purse for emergencies, however it's not my favorite product. It gives lots of volume, however after one use my hair usually ends up being a knotty hot mess.3
