In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
I would like to begin this review by stating that I don't like dry shampoos to begin with. The dry shampoos I've tried in the past have left my curly hair dry and knotty. That being said, this sample didn't change my mind at all. It did the same thing that all other dry shampoos do - leave my hair in a terrible, knotty mess. The smell was nice, but that was all it had going in my hair. If you like dry shampoos, you might want to try this one. But for me, I probably will not buy in the future, unfortunately.1
This product's smell did not appeal to me, since it was more like an oppressive cologne than a fresh shampoo. Also, it is way too easy to spray too much on. It immediately crusts, making hair difficult to manage or brush through, and feels worse than just having oily hair. Even the trick where you spray dry shampoo the night before and sleep in it does not work with this stuff.1
I felt like this left a white cast on my dark brown hair. It also has a strong smell like baby powder and I am not a fan of that. It was nice that it came in travel size so you could use it on the go.1
I wanted to like this... I tried it every way I could think of... Including the way the directions tell you too.
It doesn't smell great. It left my hair still feeling greasy but added a disgusting grit to my hair. I had to wash my hair every time I used this product :( I finally threw it out.
this made my hair matted and clumpy... i would have been better off with dirty hair. I do not recommend this product.1
I was so excited to get a dry shampoo. Nope. 3 seconds later I regretted my haste. Basically if you want something to coat your hair and make it smell like a cologne drenched man, help yourself. For me? I'll be steering clear.1
Second time in 6 months that Birchbox sent me this. I didn't like it the first time around. It leaves a horrible residue after using and clings to my hair...even after washing. Tip: use clarifying shampoo to get this gunk off. It's a horrible smelling item and makes your hair feel dirtier.1
I really don't like the smell or how it makes my hair feel. It makes my hair crunchy and thick... which is okay if it's going straight into a top knot, but absolutely cannot wear hair loose after using this. It will stay in that top knot or braid perfectly and tight all day... But I prefer my dry shampoo to add volume and dry up oil and keep my hair soft.1
To me, this product was more of a hairspray than a dry shampoo. I felt like it left a sticky residue, and that's not what I'm going for when I use a dry shampoo product.1
Although this did not leave a white residue like some dry shampoos, it didn't do what it was meant to do at all: remove the oil from my hair. All it did was give my hair a heavier, greasier look that would not come out unless I washed it with shampoo. I would not recommend this. It does not work.1
