In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
This product is horrible. It leaves an awful feeling residue. My hair honestly feels dirtier than before I applied it. I have very soft silky feeling hair, this product has managed to make my hair feel stiff and sticky. Just gross!1
I got this as a sample a few boxes ago and was excited to try it. I was incredibly disappointed! The smell was very musky and too strong. It left my hair feeling matted and overly sticky, as if I had used cheap hairspray. When it came time to comb the product out of my hair, it became almost impossible to comb it! I ended up having to hop in the shower and using regular shampoo and conditioner.1
didn't care for the smell or how there was white residue in my hair. made my hair feel dry & I could not wait to wash it out. Please birchbox add a button to not send similar products.1
I would not purchase this product. I'm a big fan of the dry shampoos for those mornings when I overslept, however this just left my hair feeling even oilier than before I used it.1
I'm a big fan of dry shampoo, so I was excited to try this. It was very disappointing. I may have sprayed a little too much the first time, but I let it dry really well and then tried to brush it out - which made my hair sticky and looking even greasier than before. I tried it a couple times since then, spraying less and even blow drying afterward as some of the reviews recommended, but no luck.1
I'm a professional hairstylist, so take my review of this product with my discerning tastes in mind. This is the worst dry shampoo that I've ever used. I was super excited about trying it out because I love to have a dry shampoo in a travel size so I can pack it in my kit for weddings, photoshoots, etc... or for travel for myself. And since I always try every new product on myself before using it on a client. This product is YUCK. Too heavy, too sticky. Smells gross. I'm very accustomed to the "powdery" look and feel of most dry shampoos (which, if you're doing it right, you massage the powder into your scalp first and then brush out with a boar bristle brush), but it's impossible to get the powder out because the product is so heavy. Perhaps it would work better on thicker, coarse hair, but for most other hair textures, this is not a good choice.1
I do not recommend this product to anyone! This was my first time using a "dry shampoo" and I was hoping for great results. No way - no day. I have fine and super thin hair and it made my hair feel gross and there was no managble way of working with my hair.1
I really wanted to like this dry shampoo since I use them all the time and I was looking for something different than what I normally use. Too bad that this formula is awful! After using this my hair felt and looked so dirty that I had to wash it again. I tried it several times thinking that it was the way or the amount I was applying it, but nope I felt disgusting and dirty every time. The only upsides is that the product does smell good. I'm currently using it as a bathroom air freshener!1
I was not that impressed with this product. I LOVE dry shampoos, but this one left something to be desired. I DID NOT like the smell. It worked ok, but I just couldn't get over the smell.1
First off, I want to mention that I am an avid fan of dry shampoos and have purchased many different types from many companies. Secondly, I'd like to mention that I seldom write product reviews. That being said, I am taking the time to write a review for this product because I felt that it was utterly horrible in terms of its its performance and texture.
When I use dry shampoo it's between shampoos when my hair is looking oily/not fresh, thus, I like to apply it for a last minute "clean up" before I head out the door. Pursuant to the directions, I sprayed this product 10 inches away from my head onto my scalp and let it set for 2 minutes. Thereafter, I was left with a sticky mess that left my hair looking worse than before. I tried combing it out, but to no avail. I was left with sticky, oily, limp hair. To make matters worse, I have dark hair and the product started balling up into white flakes. Needless to say, I was late to work before I literally had to wash the product out of my hair before I could be seen in public.
Furthermore, I gave this product a second and third chance, varying the amount I put into my hair, the setting time and even attempting to comb it through for a longer period of time. Still does not work. It's not worth your money or time dealing with this product. The only positive thing I can say about this dry shampoo is that it smells good. However, that doesn't really make a difference if it makes you hair look horrible.
