In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
This stuff just doesn't seem to work on my hair, which is the type that gets oily after just one day. It just makes it even more difficult to work with, and much of the time I end up giving up and hopping in the shower after struggling to make my hair look clean with the dry shampoo.1
I have finally learned to tips and tricks to using dry shampoo. Not only was this product great on those early mornings that washing my hair was out of the question due to hitting snooze, but it worked great to add volume when I needed some extra height to my hair! Love this product and the smell is AMAZING!5
One of my biggest problems with my hair when it's dirty, is it tends to lay really flat and I've struggled with finding products that add volume. This really helps add a little lift to my hair. The downside is the white power residue that is often left behind. You really sometimes have to work it into your hair/scalp, more so than with other dry shampoos that I've used. I first received this as a sample, but immediately bought the full size.4
I really wanted to like this product because I actually really enjoyed the scent. However it seemed to make my hair look dirtier. I tried this product multiple times and played around with how much I sprayed on, the distance away from my head, and how long I let the product sit in my hair. No matter what I did I always ended up with the same result. It was difficult to run a brush through my hair, and did nothing to reduce the oil. There are plenty of other dry shampoos that work much better than this one1
If possible, this will actually make your hair look and feel worse than if you had just skipped the dry shampoo step altogether. No matter how much you comb, it stays in your hair and is actually sticky. And good luck trying to use any heat on your hair afterward. And the only way to get rid of it is to try and wash it out of your hair. Congrats Birchbox, you found a terrible product. I'm actually mad that I used it.1
Literally the worst dry shampoo I have ever used. Made hair
hard and clumpy, not to mention made hair look awful. I could barely run my fingers or a brush through it without it being super super thick clumps.. Save your money.
May I suggest dove or batista's dry shampoo.
I've tried many dry shampoos, and they are not all created equally. This one sprays on wet and clumpy, and even after it dries, it remains sticky. I couldn't run my fingers through my hair without feeling greasy.2
Love this product! Turns flat dirty hair into sexy or rocker hair. I like to use n then put my hair up. Gives perfect lift n then spray a little in the pony for a full, bold ponytail. Use it w hair down too. It does leave a sticky feel but it looks so good I don't know why anyone would care.5
I got up late for school one day and decided to try this out instead of having to shower to save time. Well, it was like I sprayed hairspray in my hair, and made me look like the bride of frankenstein. Once I let it sit, I had to comb it out, and once I did I was able to get it in a ponytail so I looked ok, but it took awhile to comb. I almost thought I was going to have to wash it anyway. I've used other dry shampoos and they were not like that, I will be throwing my sample away so I don't forget and use it again!1
I'm still yet to find a dry shampoo I really like. This one just made me feel like sprayed it with hairspray. It didn't stay feeling that way, but that was my initial reaction.3
