In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
This works wonders for my extremely thick hair. I don't use this as my 'day of' or 'day after' dry shampoo. I use a different one for that. This is best for special events or 'it's been 3-4 days and I have no time to wash my hair' days, because there is too much product buildup the next day. I love this dry shampoo above all others though, because it never leaves my brunette hair ashy and it provides AMAZING volume. Like, I flip my hair back over after brushing it out, and it's 'Howdy, Texas!' time! That much volume is nearly unheard of for my hair, since it's so long and thick.5
I felt like this left a white cast on my dark brown hair. It also has a strong smell like baby powder and I am not a fan of that. It was nice that it came in travel size so you could use it on the go.1
As a dry shampoo, I didn't care for this product. It made my hair feel heavy and dirtier after using it. I don't think it did a good job of absorbing oil. That being said I've been using it to add volume and grit as a texturizing spray and it works great for that. Probably won't buy it again.3
I keep this in my purse for emergencies, however it's not my favorite product. It gives lots of volume, however after one use my hair usually ends up being a knotty hot mess.3
This shampoo is great, it gives my hair a boost when I haven't washed it in a few days.
It always has been helpful with styling when I curl my hair.
My hair smelled great after using Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry shampoo. However, I hate the feel. It makes my hair thick and knotty like it's full of hairspray. I have kept the sample for emergencies, but it is not going to be my "go-to" dry shampoo!3
Great dry shampoo. Smelled fresh. No residue in my brunette hair. And it gave extra volume.5
If you use it according to the instructions - spray a bit on 10" from the scalp, leave on a few minutes, and then brush out, it works really well. It sounds as though a few reviewers may not have been brushing it out? Maybe it's a generational thing -- we didn't use dry shampoo to add volume; we used it to freshen hair. Try the old Pssssst we used to use, and you'll see the difference! Great product.5
I tried this stuff in person at a beauty store because they looked at my super fine hair and knew it would be a good match. I absolutely love the lift it gives my hair, and it allows me to wear my hair down on days 2 and 3 of my washing cycle (instead of putting it in a safe unglam ponytail).
I feel very smart and glamorous using this product. Just remember to let it dry and make sure you brush it out because it can look like grey hair otherwise!
I found it to be a little heavy and takes the shine off my hair. Not great for straight hair, but it does smell amazing.3
