In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
Well, I have tried this twice now and I don't think it's for me. While it smells nice, absorbed extra oil and gave my fine hair some more volume it also made my hair very dry and ashy looking.2
I don't seem to have the problem of greasy or limp hair, unless it's just because I haven't taken the time to fix it... Plus my hair is dark, and no matter how far away you hold it, it seems to make your hair look dull and even grayish. Smells great, and I can see this working perfectly for someone with lighter hair that is prone to oily roots!4
I like it for the dry shampoo but even more then that I love it for the awesome volume it gives the hair!4
I tried this product yesterday because I did not want to rewash my hair - being it was only day 2. So I followed the directions, spraying my roots (10 inches away) and it left my hair feeling tacky to the touch and looking stiff - leaving my hair worse off than before! I tried brushing it out, tried to put my hair into a ponytail to disguise how awful it looked to no avail. I ended up having to wash it out of my hair which made me late for work - I could not be seen in public with that stiff/tacky do!
NOT A FAN! Threw it in the trash.
I have fine hair and really need to wash daily - a dry shampoo just isn't an option for me.1
I have tried dry shampoo before and i just dont think its my thing. I would rather just wash my hair normally....or else i still feel that my hair is dirty. I do like the scent and the bottle is a great size. I think it would be great for people who like the dry shampoo route.3
I have never used dry shampoo before this sample. I have heard people talk about it, but had never had the chance to use it before. I am now a die hard fan...especially since us blondes have hair that looks unwashed after just one day!5
I've used a lot of dry shampoo and this is a good product, but it does take some finessing. I wouldn't recommend this for first time users because this isn't the kind of dry shampoo you spray onto your scalp, tousle, and go. The spray itself is maximized if you follow it up with a quick blow-dry, or if you put it in before bed and sleep on it. Both these methods minimize the residue and pump up the volume, they also cut down on this shampoo's tendency to be a bit stiff and heavy. I will say that this is the first dry shampoo I've ever used that has given my hair incredible volume that lasted throughout the day, when I came home after a long day at work, my hair still looked freshly coiffed.4
The whole point of dry shampoo is not to make you look like you showered this morning but to tide you through a day when you're unable to. This stuff smells great and is good for the occasional emergency day when you're at your boyfriend's place and late for work with no time for a shower.3
As soon as I saw this product in my Box, I was ecstatic. I had just recently run out of my regular dry shampoo and had not had a change to purchase a replacement. I tried it first thing the very next morning before work....worst mistake. Perhaps I should have been smarter and tested it out the night before, but as I am an avid dry shampoo user, I could not foresee any reason I would have any problems. After the use of the product and the typical brush-out, my hair felt sticky and despite how many times I tried to brush the product out I eventually called it quits and just jumped in the shower; effectively, making me exceedingly late to work.
This sample is already in the trash.
