In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
I was psyched to get a dry shampoo sample in my March birchbox! I am a dry shampoo fiend, and I thought this gave great texture and shine without the typical tackiness you sometimes find with the drugstore brands.4
my hair tends to become oily after a couple hours of washing it and after using this product it made my hair feel newly washed! love it5
I was really excited to use this product when I saw it in my box. I currently use a suave one that I got for $4.
I had a similar experience as some of the other reviews. I used it this morning but it made my hair more greasy looking/feeling. it felt like I had a helmet on my head. This might have been because I used too much or it might be the product itself. I do like the smell. Either way I'm going to give it another shot using less but for now, not a fan.
I had high hopes for this product after watching the amazing "big hair" tutorial with Serge Normant, but alas-- it was not a fave. One, it smells exactly like this perfume my great aunt used to wear that I never liked: very musky/floral, and it really LINGERS, ew. Two, texturally, it's super weird. My hair was 2 days dirty when I used it, and i felt like it made it somehow not just thicker, but also heavier and sticky. I love dry shampoo (actually the BEST I've found is Suave- no joke. It's $4 and smells like grapefruit. I heart) so I was eager to try this. I followed the instructions, but actually now that I think about it, I'm realizing in the tutorial, Serge blowdried the hair after application to remove more of the product. Maybe that's the secret? I'm going to give this one more shot and then probably pitch it. Bummer.2
i think dry shampoo is really all about preference - for me, i just didn't like this one. i thought it was really sticky and didn't work on my hair to make it feel or look cleaner. i found it worked well with volume, but still looked terrible on my hair. this reminded me of the oscar blondi dry shampoo - so if you like that, you might like this one too. i usually use the batiste kind, which is really nothing like this.1
Love how this dry shampoo immediately removes any oily appearance in my hair and also thickens my thin hair!5
i was excited to see a dry shampoo in this months box, as my sisters have sworn by them for years. as someone with finer and oilier hair, i was impressed by the volume it provided. however, i thought the texture was way too heavy for me to actually use, i prefer cleaner feeling hair. also, the price is a bit steep compared to other well reviewed products available.2
Due to the cost, I thought it was going to be a great dry shampoo - but I was wrong. Made my hair feel very coarse, heavy and even dirtier!1
wasn't a huge fan. Left my hair feeling a bit sticky and I'm not sure that it really helped with making it less oily. I can definitely see how it would be great a adding some volume (I have a lot of hair, so I didn't really need that) and if my hair had been straight, it may have worked better. But it certainly wasn't what I was expected and I was a little disappointed. It did smell great. It just left my hair feeling gross.2
I used this sample the day after I received it. I have been meaning to try dry shampoo forever, and I am pleased. It looked a little powdery at first, but that went away with a quick brush of the hand. Adds a little stiffness, similar to hairspray, but it doesn't feel uncomfortable and it looks natural. I have thick hair. I don't need the volume, but it worked well for making my hair look a little less oily in a pinch.4
