In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
I used this product after a massage. The massage therapist used facial oils on my face and then proceeded to perform a scalp massage, so my hair was VERY greasy. A few sprays later and my hair didn't look greasy, but felt very thick. I put it in a pony to go shopping and once in the car my boyfriend commented, "You stink!" So I like the results, but the smell wasn't great. However, I have yet to use a dry shampoo that smells as good or better.3
My hair is naturally fairly dry, so I don't have a lot of use for dry shampoos. This one left my hair feeling sticky and had a white film.2
I loved the smell of this product and think it would be great for people who have continuously dry hair. I unfortunately don't have dry hair, so this is not a product I would use on a regular basis.4
I love dry shampoo! I know of some people that cant use it bc it dries out their hair. However, I LOVE IT. Its the best product for 2nd day hair. I have no problem building up my supply. However, Im not fond of the scent. Its a little too flora and 'old' for me.3
I lovvveee this dry shampoo. Got a sample of it in my most recent birchbox. I've tried pretty much everything out there and this is definitely at the top of my list. Note - a little goes a LONG way. Smells nice, absorbs oil well, and brushes out so it doesn't look like you dumped powdered sugar on your head.5
I have thick hair which I do not wash every day and so have tried several dry shampoo type products and this one is by far the worst. Yes, even worse than Aussie. The smell is not refreshing in the slightest, but more like the cheap hairspray we used in 9th grade to achieve our big hairstyles that were popular at the time. After giving it ample time to set and dry it was still terribly sticky. Like trying to brush your hair after you've doused it with hairspray, actually. No matter how long I left it to set & dry or how hard I brushed I could not get all the powder out. It clung, fused to my roots until I sprayed my hair with water and brushed it while blow drying. Even then it left my hair with a terrible residue, completely unmanageable, and dull. I will stick with my $5, ridiculously named Pssssst from the drug store, which works like a charm. If I could give this product no stars, it would still be too many.1
I haven't tried too many dry shampoo products but I don't think the combination of both volumizer and dry shampoo work well with my hair. It was sticky and stiff in my hair (straight and fine) and left a powdery residue that made my hair look gray. However, it does smell great and I liked how it added texture the next day after shampooing.2
I use a powdered dry shampoo - oscar blandi pronto, which I love. I gave this a dry though to see if it would be better at adding volume. I followed the instructions, and it did seem to take up the oil, but it also left a feeling like hairspray. My hair was sticky and then stiff. Not a big fan.2
So this came just in time! Trying to juggle early a.m. workouts, work with a LONG commute, and then social/work activities every night last week including packed weekends with yoga, lunches, (better) job searching and dates.... this came in handy, I loved the scent and it added texture so that I can do updo's as the activities in my life wore on. I always prefer washing my hair, but when life gets in the way, I'm happy to have this sample! It felt clean too and not just like I was adding more bulky product to my hair.4
I read a lot of bad reviews for this because of the smell, I actually didn't mind it. If you need a light duty dry shampoo, this is a good one. I would reach for it on second day hair, but anything after that I would still use my HG, Blowpro.4
