In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this revitalizing dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
They mention in the instructions to use a very little and apply 10 inches from scalp. Be sure to do so or your hair will look dirtier after applying than it did before. Learned my lesson the hard way. :P2
This is an interesting product. I was a bit taken aback when I sprayed it in my hair and looked in the mirror. It was shockingly white and I thought "Hey! This would make a fantastic Halloween hairdo." I had a hard time brushing the stuff out of my hair with my small plastic brush. It was like having a can of hairspray sprayed in my hair and the brush did not want to budge. I did manage though and was able to use my heated curling wand. I don't know if my hair was any cleaner but once I styled it, it was not about to move! I really loved that attribute. I think it will be good to use when your hair is clean to give it that bionic bounce! I'm not much of a hair product junkie but this is kind of cool once you figure out how to use it. I will definitely use it again.4
I use this as a volumizing spray on clean hair, and it creates a lot of volume. I spray it on my roots and scrunch my hair and it's as good as ratting! It does leave a slight residue, but it feels cleaner than hairspray. My daughter has black hair and this shows a little white on her; I'm ginger haired and it doesn't show on me at all. The smell is a wonderful dry aromatic cedar and very unisex-y --- some women may think of it as a masculine. I wouldn't use this as a dry shampoo unless you have very short hair (read: pixie).4
I was so excited to get a dry shampoo. Nope. 3 seconds later I regretted my haste. Basically if you want something to coat your hair and make it smell like a cologne drenched man, help yourself. For me? I'll be steering clear.1
Second time in 6 months that Birchbox sent me this. I didn't like it the first time around. It leaves a horrible residue after using and clings to my hair...even after washing. Tip: use clarifying shampoo to get this gunk off. It's a horrible smelling item and makes your hair feel dirtier.1
This was first time I used dry shampoo, it smelled really good! I was concerned that it would turn my hair white and it wouldn't work. My hair felt significantly cleaner afterwards, it was a nice refresher!5
This was my first experience with dry shampoo and overall it worked better than I expected. Nice scent and left my hair feeling clean, with the added perk of tons of volume.4
I have been a huge fan of dry shampoo because I have fine hair and this is a great secret tool. This smells good but it's a little thick and turns my hair white. If you are looking for the perfect spray order the Oribe Texturizing Spray for the same effect with a better smell and no white residue. It's the best on the market!4
I used this dry shampoo on my curly hair and was happy with the results. This stuff revived my hair, gave my curls a fresh bounce without weighing them down. The scent was also very nice, left my hair smelling good. This product is great to carry in a gym bag or purse for long weeks.4
I received the sample and used it right away prior to dinner. It was the perfect "boost" my hair needed! It added volume to my hair and worked as a dry shampoo as well.5
