In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this travel-sized bottle of dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
I was excited when I got this sample a few weeks ago. I decided to branch out from my usual dry shampoo and try this stuff this morning. I sprayed it in my hair, waited a couple of minutes, and tried to brush it through my hair. It made my hair so white, stiff, and unmanageable. I do not recommend this at all, whatsoever.1
I'm not sure what happened, but as soon as I used this product it formed an instant white, unmanageable, and sticky crust in my hair. Granted I have dark brown hair, but that just didn't seem right. Sadly I just threw the sample away.1
This dry shampoo left my hair feeling very heavy and the powder was very visible even after I brushed my hair to get rid of it. My hair did not flow naturally so I put my hair in a bun. Tried it several times but still didn't get the results I expected1
I have tried my fair share of dry shampoo products and this one is by far the worst. It made my hair sticky and unable to brush through. I had to wash and condition twice to get my hair clean.1
This is by far the worse dry shampoo I've tried. I used once following the directions and it left my a hair a sticky mess.1
I have blond hair and this made my hair white. Can't imagine what it would do for someone with dark hair. It also made my hair kind of sticky and unmanageable. Didn't like it at all.
I love checking out dry shampoos as I have superfine hair that can go oily and limp, or dry and frizzy depending on the weather.
This one is made my sandy blonde hair very tacky and clumpy, plus turned it grey! And the smell is off: cloying, but trying to be musky?
This is one sample I'm thinking of giving away, but I can't think of anyone I want to gift sticky, weird smelling hair.
I received this in my March 2013 BirchBox. I've tried Dry shampoo is the past and it's always made my hair look incredibly greasy almost instantly. I decided to try this anyways and once again my hair turned even more greasy than it was. I ended up giving this product to a friend who can use dry shampoo. Dry Shampoo is simply not for my hair.1
I hate bad reviews, and this is only so long to justify it.
I ended up with two bottles of this stuff after friends got them in their boxes and hated it, too. I love dry shampoos so I was excited to try a high-end product.
First, I would advise anyone who does not have blonde, white, or warm gray hair to never use this. I have bright red hair and I thought I was going to have to wash my hair before I left the house to get this stuff off, which totally defeats the purpose of dry shampoo.
Second, it works for volume, but it's sticky. This stuff was so sticky it made little globs on my hair, like when people WAY overdo the hairspray. And I couldn't just brush it through my hair because the sticky made my fine, curly hair get tangled up. I got the globs and white out by rubbing my head with the heels of my palms. This took about 10 minutes. Might be great for a wedding, dance, clubbing, pageant, or an Amy Winehouse costume party, but not for normal wear.
Third: smells really weird.
Lastly, the packaging of this product really annoys me. Normally I'm pretty indifferent to product design but I would have never picked this stuff out of a store. It looks like something my grandmother would have bought out of a 1980s AVON book.
Luckily I work in a place where I can leave products in the bathroom with a note of recommended use and they find a new home.
This made my hair: Dirty, sticky, ugly, awful. I had to wash my hair immediately after using this because it looked so awful. It was basically like hairspray with a grey-ish color to it.1
