In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this travel-sized bottle of dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
I have thick but fine hair that doesn't tend to get oily easily so I can go up to 5 days without washing it (with very minimal use of dry shampoo). On days 4 and 5 I usually use Batiste dry shampoo because of the quality and the price. Serge Normant's dry shampoo is OK. It absorbed a reasonable amount of oil, but it tended to leave my hair feeling gunky and very dry...but still somewhat oily-looking. Nice to try something new and the smell was great otherwise.3
Good dry shampoo. Nothing crazy special about it. Leaves hair a little grayish on darker hair. Gets rid of the oils though. Would use again3
I love the smell of this product. However, my hair gets very oily between washes and I need a dry shampoo that will help with this. I felt this product did nothing as far as oil control.2
I love this stuff! I've used dry shampoos before and they seemed impossible to wash out later, not to mention they did nothing for oil control. This stuff smells great, isn't heavy, and keeps my hair from feeling greasy! I will definitely be buying more!4
I was excited to try a new dry shampoo! This product was a bit too thick feeling on my hair. It took a while to brush/comb out the white residue. I had to apply a lot of shine spray afterwards to make my hair look better and any time I would touch my hair it just felt gross. It definitely worked so I could run out the door without showering, but it didn't feel good to the touch! The scent was nice though and I continued to smell it throughout the day.3
From reading the other reviews it seems maybe people are using too much. I typically use Oscar Blandi dry shampoo but I was excited to try this one and see what I thought. I honestly think it works better than the Oscar Blandi one. I did not have any problems with it making my hair sticky or smelly. I would just say only put a little at first and add more if you need to. Also I waited about ten mins between spraying it and brushing out the excess, which is what I always do, so maybe that is another reason it wasn’t sticky for me?
I love love love the smell of this dry shampoo and I have always been interested in trying it out. I followed the directions and let it sit for a bit but when I went to comb my hair it was just complete static. LOL. It was not a good look for me. :(2
It did seem to help absorb oil, but left my hair feeling kind of thick and matted...sort of stuck. I wouldn't want to buy it.2
I can't wash my hair everyday, because it dries out. I was really excited about trying this product because I currently use baby powder to soak up oil on my second day.
One thing I noticed that might make a difference next time is that when you first spray it, it's not white which might lead a person to spray more on. I left it for two minutes like suggested then tried to comb it out, but it just stayed in my hair. I ended up scrubbing on my scalp and hair with my towel which got rid of the white.
It still feels funny where I sprayed it. It feels more gooey and perhaps damp than a baby powder application.
If you aren't going to touch it and just style your hair up and go, it'll be good. Once you get the white out your hair doesn't look oily. It would be especially great for up-dos.
Although it was thick upon the first usage once I got the hang of spraying lightly, adequate drying time and brushing/teasing I had incredible volume and never wanted to wash my hair again!5
