In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this travel-sized bottle of dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
The first time I used this spray I was not so sure that I liked it. I usually curl my hair one day and the next day I can apply dry shampoo to keep my hairstyle one more day. I tried to use this product the same way and quickly realized this would not work the same way. Brushing it out was very hard to do with curls in my hair and I had to go back and touch up my curls when I was done. My hair did not feel very good to touch but just looking at my hair in the mirror.. no greasy look and incredible volume. I ended up happy with the results and after watching the video I believe I have a better idea of how to use the product next time as well. I will probably stick with my current dry shampoo for quick, out the door use but would use this product when I have time since it adds so much volume.5
I was so excited to try "designer" dry shampoo, as opposed to something we used in the past solely for hospital stays. Not a great experience. It provided volume to my thin, fine hair, but the texture felt stiff and unnatural. All in all, not a winner.2
This is the first dry shampoo I have tried, so I was excited to use it. I found that it really helped to control the greasiness of my hair for a couple of days between washings. My biggest complaint would be the feeling that the spray gave my hair. While it didn't appear greasy, it felt tangled and rough.3
Maybe it's just because I have curly hair, but I hated this product. It made my hair all sticky, and of course, I wasn't about to comb it through my hair. I do not recommend this product1
I have been a fan of dry shampoo for a few years now, it gives my hair the clean look I want between washes and is not baby powder. I enjoyed the small of Meta Revive, but the best part was there was not white residue!5
I was excited to try a new dry shampoo, as mine is almost out, but I was not very impressed by this. When I first sprayed it on my hair, the chemical odor was overwhelming. I had to spray it on quickly and leave the bathroom. When I came back in to brush it out after it dried for a couple minutes, I noticed that whichever direction I brushed my hair, it stayed exactly in that shape. Yes, my hair had more volume, but it was stiff and sort of sticky. Also, the bottom half of my hair became very staticky, and I had to spray leave-in conditioner on my hair. I'll try a different product when my current dry shampoo runs out.3
I have this for when I travel. Nightly washing isn't always feasible on the road, but this product makes a nice alternative. Give it a second o dry before it touches your clothes, but then your hairs is fresh and you're off to tackle the day.4
I did not like this at all! it was super thick in my hair and the instructions stated to brush out the excess powder, I couldnt even get a comb through my hair after the product set. I ended up having to get back into the shower to wash my hair, completely defeated the purpose of the product :/1
This dry shampoo isn't my favorite. It doesn't add great volume to my hair. I do enjoy the fact that it doesn't leave a white residue though!3
I got this in my Birchbox and have used many other dry shampoos so I know how other brands smell, feel, work. I like this dry shampoo if going for a certain look...but a few points need to be made. I am a platinum blonde, so the white residue is not an issue for me. The first time I used this I clearly used too much because my hair resemble a white powedered wig worn my Marie Antoinette (the Sofia Coppola version). It certainly got rid of the oily roots. I simply pulled my hair up into a textured bun. Second and third time trying it (day 3 without shampooing) I used far less product, lifted sections of my hair with a rattail comb and sprayed in brief 1 second shots. Waited the full 2 minutes, flipped and brushed hair. Still had to wear it up in a textured bun, but it was way better than the oily roots I had before using it. So I will use this again, I do like it, but it is not for everyone's hair type, color or style. And I want to add I used an oil shine spray on top because without that my hair looked very matte like.4
