In a perfect world, we'd have time to shampoo our strands more than once a week. (We’d also sleep eight hours a night and hit the gym instead of the snooze button.) But for all those occasions when life intervenes, this travel-sized bottle of dry shampoo is our secret weapon. The powdery formula revives second-day strands and beyond, absorbing excess oil to provide instant lift.
Yeah... no. Not a fan. I was SO excited when I got this in my box. I've always wanted to try dry shampoo and I had an opportunity to use it a couple days after receiving my box. I was bummed when I found that the texture of my hair was even worse than before I used this product. I have blonde hair with a lot of red in the bottom and, even in the blonde parts, it made my hair look "off"... I don't know exactly how to explain it. The smell was not bad, but not good either. Overall, the time I spent trying to fix my hair after using this product could have been better spent just taking a shower.2
I love dry shampoos and have used them religiously for years, but this one is the worst I have ever used. It leaves a white residue like other reviewers mentioned, and I swear it makes my hair look oilier than it did before I used it. I can't get a brush through my hair, and the static electricity is out of control! I'm tossing this out when I get home today.1
I have short hair and it is my normal habit to shower and wash my hair eeverday. I don't like dry shampoo and will never use them. I don't find that my hair feels clean and/or manageable with this probuct.2
I tried this product before I jumped in my car on the way home from a road trip. By the end of the day, my hair was more oily than when. I started.3
I will use this product for forever. I love the volume that it gave my hair. There was a little discoloration, presence of residue, but it wasnt too noticeable. Best dry shampoo yet.5
I liked the idea of it being a spray. It seemed to work better than powder versions I have used in the past. I have blonde hair and it wasn't visible at all which I liked. It was quite sticky. You need to brush your hair after you put it in as indicated on the product. Even then, it feels like you have hairspray in your hair. If you are just looking to put it in a ponytail, then it's not a bad product. However, it was difficult for me to style after using it.3
I love dry shampoo, as a girl with bangs it's a necessity, but I'm not a huge fan of this one. On the positive side, I have blonde hair and didn't notice any white flakes or greyish tint. On the negative, I had major static electricity issues after using this. Not a big fan of aerosols or the smell either.2
The scent is great and the product seemed to camouflage the dirtiness/greasiness fairly well but it made my hair's texture become incredibly rough and tangled. I couldn't use my fingers to distribute the product as directed and I could barely get the brush through. I'll stick with Beyond the Zone (only $8 for a full size container)2
For extra fine hair it is best to use sparingly. I also didn't wait the full 2 minutes before brushing out -that may be why it worked well for me. It did not give me (more) grey hair!
Overall I like it!
I tried using the dry shampoo on a work day; I hadn't washed my hair in a day and a half and thought this would be the perfect time to try it out. I followed the instructions perfectly, flipped my head over and brushed out the access powder and my hair felt...just...gross. My hair is healthy and soft naturally and this stuff made it feel like fake hair on a wig covered in powdery gunk. Yuck. It was hard to manage and I had to put it up and deal with a heavy, tangled mess all day. I will only ever use this sample if I am desperate...like out-in-the-wilderness-no-shower desperate. No bueno.1
