Infused with notes of grapefruit and black pepper, this unisex blend is so distinguished we think it deserves a Michelin star (or two). Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses fresh fruity and floral notes to transform a base of musky Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is totally addictive. Think of it as molecular perfumery.
I received a sample of this in my box 2 years ago and always meant to get it. I finally did and I love it. It's the the right strength. The spray comes out very fine and in a small amount so it took a bit to figure out how much to use, but that's the case with any new scent.5
I really like fragrances but have an issue with most available in stores b/c I am attracted to colognes that all smell the same (kind of peppery). I won't mention other big brand names but i had a 3 or 4 that were only slightly different and my wife would complain that I always smelled the same. Then came my Birchbox and all the boutique brand cologne samples. My prior knowledge of patchouli was that it was reserved for Grateful Dead and Phish concert attendees. I am not going to try to one up the product description but know that if you're looking for a scent that is different yet sophisticated, try this one.5
I love the way this smells on my skin. It's not overtly loud like other fragrances, but it wears close to the skin. Warm and inviting, fresh and chic.5
I received this scent in one of my subscription boxes and I fell in love with it. At the time Birchbox did not carry the larger bottle so I ended up going to the scent's flagship location to purchase the big bottle. I will say this, it isn't a every day kind of scent but it good in the fall and I get compliments from women when I hug them in a greeting or when I'm on a elevator. I highly recommend this scent.4
Wasnt a fan of this scent. I had really never smelled it before and tried the sampler. Really distinct and patchouli-ly! ahh!1
I found that Atelier Cologne Mistral Patchouli Cologne Absolue is a solid, manly scent that alludes to trekking through the Himalayas or a Moroccan marketplace. The patchouli gives a nice earthy and honest aroma that is less cologne and more a retelling of some third-world adventure. And my woman loved the way I smelled while wearing it. That says a lot.4
I wasn't expecting much when I received this cologne in my box, but its now a go-to. Its scent is modern and not overbearing5
I found this product to be quite refreshing and it lasts all day. Spritz some one and it gets you energized. It's not too heavy either as some colognes can be. It's just right. I look forward to ordering it again.5
I am not a fan. I don't know much about this brand. This cologne does not smell that great to me. I won't purchase this sent. To be fair everyone likes something different when it comes to sents. This one is not for me.3
Colognes are cool and I love getting them, but this one wasn't my favorite. It was okay, but I like watery scents a lot more.3
