Infused with notes of grapefruit and black pepper, this unisex blend is so distinguished we think it deserves a Michelin star (or two). Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses fresh fruity and floral notes to transform a base of musky Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is totally addictive. Think of it as molecular perfumery.
Ordered this product to take on a long trip after sampling in box. Loved the scent, but the bottle leaked. Imagine what my luggage smelled like after I unpacked. I had to keep it in a plastic zip lock bag for the entire trip. Every time I unpacked, I discovered that more of the perfume had leaked out of the bottle. I even tried to tape it where I thought it might be leaking but didn't work. By the time I got home, over 90% of the bottle had leaked out. Certainly disappointed.2
the smell is a little strong but that is why i like this cologne. it is definitely unisex but i tend to like unisex/male scents better anyway. the only negative thing really about this was the scent didn't last very long. i would probably buy it if it wasn't so expensive3
This was way too strong for me. I put some on thinking it would tone down some throughout the day. It didn't. Plus, after wearing it for a while, I felt like I smelled like an old lady. Maybe it just doesn't mix well with my natural scent, but this is not for me.1
So excited to own a bit of Atelier Cologne Mistral Patchouli! Such a powerful and enticing smell! When I wear this I feel the need to let my inner hippy shine!4
Don't love the scent, but it's not bad. I prefer lighter scents and I think this is too musky. I think it may actually work better for a male.3
This scent is super sexy. My husband put it in as soon as the box arrived and I wanted to snatch it from his fingers. It is not heavy and spicy but light and masculine. It smells clean and fresh but the bottom note has sensual aspect to it. Hope to see more from this line in future boxes. A great first date fragrance.4
It is not my favorite scent in the world, but I liked this MUCH better than Juicy Couture's LaLa sample I got in my last box. I get headaches from scents VERY easily, and I haven't had a problem with this product.3
At first when I smelled this I thought it smelled awful. Then I smelled it again later over and over and thought maybe I could do this scent. I ended up wearing it one day to work and kept obsessively smelling my wrist and loved it and having everyone around me smell it. It's not something I would normally wear.
Two problems though. 1) I don't like the sample packaging-having to pull the top off, because when I put it back in the bottle it splashes everywhere. 2) I probably won't buy this ever, because it's so expensive. Maybe I'll ask for it for a gift.
I liked this and it would certainly be something different for me, but the price is a bit of a deterrent. I think I will be using the sample, but passing on this specific full size.4
I love this fragrance. I already bought the orange fragrance from Atelier Cologne, and I think I now will have to buy this one. They layer with any other fragrance nicely.5
