Infused with notes of grapefruit and black pepper, this unisex blend is so distinguished we think it deserves a Michelin star (or two). Designed by Atelier Cologne’s fragrance expert Jérome Epinette, Mistral Patchouli uses fresh fruity and floral notes to transform a base of musky Indonesian patchouli. Equal parts zesty and earthy, the enticing result is totally addictive. Think of it as molecular perfumery.
The fragrance of this product is stronger than I usually wear. I wear light floral fragrances, but this one is growing on me. I think the fragrance is slightly masculine. More citrus would have been nice.3
I haven't really tried very strong scents like this before, so I'm not sure that I would wear this perfume on a daily basis. But I did like the slight musk to it. I wore it for a day and I liked the smell as it got later in the day.3
This smells like straight patchouli and incense. I didn't get any hints of citrus or earthiness that everyone is talking about. Perhaps it's just my body chemistry... but I will say that this is definitely for a man. The closest thing I would compare it to (and I really like this one) is Ballenciaga's L'essence.1
I do not like the smell of this at all. I gave it to my friend. Its very strong and almost a manly smell to it. Im actually suprised it costs this much, but still wont change my opinion of this product.2
While I understand that this might be a cologne for men, I absolutely love the smell when I dabbed the sample on my wrist! I kept bringing my wrist up to my nose to keep smelling it, which made my mother question if it actually smelled that good. She also fell in love with it! It's a rich fragrance, nothing light and airy for spring/summer - use sparingly. I LOVE this!5
I hated this product. The smell was very strong. It was very earthy smelling and almost manly. I don't really care for floral scents either but this was just to musky. I really did not care for this at all.1
The first time I put it on I didn't let it air out for a bit and it was a little too strong and my husband thought so too. But, after it set for a while it smelled really nice. My husband specifically asked what the name of it is since it might be a future gift to me.5
This cologne was incredibly fragrant. I accidentally spilled a little on my finger when opening my sample. It was a little overwhelming. I liked the smell, it is just a tad bit too powerful.4
It smells strong, more going towards men's fragrance. Didn't like it much. I would never buy it.2
I can see how someone who likes richer, darker fragrances would like this but it was just SO not me, especially because it's Spring. It smelled like men's cologne to me.2
