Stylist Jeff Chastain calls this multitasking hair oil liquid gold—and we can see why. The luxurious elixir protects and hydrates, whether you're using it as a styling tool, pre-shampoo treatment, or leave-in conditioner. It disappears into hair to leave it soft and sleek: Even without heat styling, you'll look immediately more polished. The luxurious, nourishing oil coats dry strands, taming down frizz and flyaways to leave them silky. Antioxidant-packed camellia oil protects and hydrates.
First off, the sample I recieved was extremely tiny. I only had enough oil for two uses. Which is not enough to tell a difference in my hair and if it worked at all. Did have a nice scent, but very thin for an oil...1
I didn't like this product. It felt like i was just putting castor oil in my hair because it wasn't a viscous oil like Moroccan or Argan oil. It was watery which made it run down my hands when i poured it out to use. It didn't really make any noticeable change like other oils i've gotten here so no I won't be buying this product.1
It made my hair super greasey - just wasn't good for my hair type1
This brand needs to stick to making makeup and not hair products. I don't like this oil nor the cream to oil that is in this same line. It made my hair feel kinky. I love the brand but the hair line is the pits.1
I have very thick hair, and it usually dries out since I put so much heat in it to keep it straight. I used this product after receiving it in my box. It did nothing for my hair. I was very disappointed.1
Ok, not that bad but I feel like giving it to a friend. Maybe they'll like it better than I do. I bought this after sampling the shampoo that I loved. The Shampoo was out of stock so i figured this was the next best thing. Nope. It just didn't seem to do anything. Disappointed and now it's just taking up space in my bathroom.1
For my hair texture (which is relaxed african american hair) it provide no extra moisture. It didn't dry out my hair, but it didn't help it feel moisturized either.1
I was shocked that birchbox would send me a oil for my hair when I have oily hair. I'm not happy. I can't even use the product without looking disgusting.1
My hair is too fine and flat to risk making it worse with oil.1
I always try and attempt to use the samples that Birch Box sends me, but my normally oily hair just could not take the extra dose of oil. I live in California now, but if I ever go back home to Florida I might try this out again and see how it works against the humidity.2
