Madewell for Birchbox Nail Emery Board

We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.

Why do I want this? A single, floral-patterned emery board. It's also too rough and rips your nails apart. I ended up using it on my cat's nails. But I felt very fashionable while doing so...

fell apart

Do not purchase this. You are better off going to walmart and buying a cheap one. This fell apart after only a few uses. The grit also wore off after only a few uses. I've had cheap emery boards last 10 times longer than this. I'm glad it was free. I would have be really disappointed if I had paid for it.

It's cute. That's about it.

Least effective emery board ever. I think I got one or two uses of it before it lost the course texture and became just something cute to look at and useless in function. I threw it away promptly.

Pretty Flimsy

Not sure why this has as many stars as it does. For what it is, it's pretty pricey, and what it is is a very adorable nail file which will only last a few uses. The finish on it just really doesn't hold up to the task of actually filing nails. I wouldn't buy it (unless you're looking for a purely decorative item).

Didn't do the trick

I was happy to have a small nail file I could throw in my go to bag. However after just a few uses, there was no file left to use. I don't have hard or fake nails, either. glad this was a freebe.

Sub Par

This nail file did not do it's job! It seemed flimsy on the edges and was worn out after just a few uses.

Couldn't even file one nail

This is the only product from birch box that I have gotten that ended up directly in the trash. The board fell apart on contact.

Terrible

I threw this away after a few nails. The pink rubbed off immediately and was useless. surprised it made the BirchBox cut to be quite honest.

cheap

Fell apart quickly. The emory surfaces are just thin, cheap layers of paper attached to the board. I can't imagine paying $5 for this.

Not really "made well"

Even with the plastic protective sheath, the emery board sticker came right off the board within a few uses. Total waste.
