Madewell for Birchbox Nail Emery Board

We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.

Definitely not "made-well"

Used it once and then the rough part started peeling away from the board and it was even placed neatly in the plastic case it came in.

not a fan

it wasnt a good product to me. it started freying as soon as i started using it.
i had to really press on the emery board to even get it to work some.
too soft of an emery board

Weak

This file had too much glue keeping the sand on it the isn't enough to make friction to work well. Nice that it has its own sleeve though.

cute but function is sub par

love the print, and the cute sleeve it came in - good for keeping it yuck-free when it's hanging out in your purse. however, the file started peeling within a few uses. do not recommend, as cute as it may look.

Save your money

This board just might give the company a bad name. It started peeling during it's first use. I have natural nailes, and this file was notup for the challenge.

So what?

I suppose if I had a regular cheapo emery board and this floral one side-by-side and someone had a gun to my head, I'd take the floral one. Otherwise, who cares? Both make my nails get shorter.

Not one to knock a board...

but...this one is flimsy.

I love the pattern and was pleased to try it out when it arrived in my monthly BB, BUT, it doesn't last any longer than the cheapo boards that I can get at my local CVS (A package of boards for $5 or less).

While I save the heavy lifting for my harder nail files, this one wasn't really cutting the mustard for a quick reshape.

Just sayin...save your $$ for one of the other lovely things you can find here.

Didnt last

This emery board is super cute looking and i love the design but the board it self didnt last but a few times. I wouldnt buy this again due to the fact that after maybe using it 3-4 times the board was worn in and wouldnt file my nails. mind you i have shorter nails so I must use the outside edges to file my nails but just after 3-4 times of using it they no longer filed my nails . It was like paper

Pointless after the first week

This file lost all use after a week. No better than a dollar store file. I don't see why I would pay this much for something that doesn't have any grit after a week.
