We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.
it's not that great of a nail file. I wish it was more durable, but the color and pattern is adorable.2
Loved the print and the color but as an emery board I thought it could have been made stronger. After the first time I used it, it already snapped in half. Maybe I was too rough but I felt it should have held up better.2
This emery board wasn't as good as it could've been. It wore down too quickly and became unusable and I am not a fan of floral patterns.2
I agree with another reviewer. I was looking forward to some fun new items in my Birchbox gift. I've received Birchbox in the past and there was always a good variety of fun items. An emery board is just "eh."2
I was hoping for something a little more exciting in my first birchbox. Cute, but just not that great a product.2
I loved the pattern and the sleeve it came in, but it is not coarse enough to work effectively on my nails. The sides started to tear after just one use.2
Why do I want this? A single, floral-patterned emery board. It's also too rough and rips your nails apart. I ended up using it on my cat's nails. But I felt very fashionable while doing so...1
Do not purchase this. You are better off going to walmart and buying a cheap one. This fell apart after only a few uses. The grit also wore off after only a few uses. I've had cheap emery boards last 10 times longer than this. I'm glad it was free. I would have be really disappointed if I had paid for it.1
Least effective emery board ever. I think I got one or two uses of it before it lost the course texture and became just something cute to look at and useless in function. I threw it away promptly.1
Not sure why this has as many stars as it does. For what it is, it's pretty pricey, and what it is is a very adorable nail file which will only last a few uses. The finish on it just really doesn't hold up to the task of actually filing nails. I wouldn't buy it (unless you're looking for a purely decorative item).1
