We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.
I wouldn't have used this if it hadn't come in my box. The design is cute, but neither side of the board is very efficient. It is also very flimsy - I didn't hold with an extremely tight grip, but it bent anyway. I'm going to stick with my usual emery boards...2
The pattern is cute but it was very disappointing. The coating started flaking off as soon as I used it the first time. I will probably keep it at my desk at work for emergencies.2
I really loved the print of this nail file, and was very excited. And this nail file was great for a little while, but after using this for an entire manicure, the rough part started to dull down, and now it barely even files my nails- making it completely useless. I am going to stick to my metal files that don't dull down.2
I was very excited to get this in my Birchbox...cute nail file for my purse, springy and who doesn't need another nail file? I was extremely disappointed with the quality of this file...both sides started tearing and splitting after two uses. I'd never spend $5 on a nail file that falls apart so quickly. I gave it two stars for its adorable look, that's it.2
It's design is cute indeed. But after only a few uses the board started to wear. I rarely have issues with other boards wearing down from use, especially after only a few uses. I would consider these more of a gift item if they were in a set.2
Really cute, but was super disappointing as a file, once you buff a spot all the graininess of the board goes away and it's useless. I would not purchase this.2
I will first start off by saying that i adored the print on the emery board. Then I starting to use it before and after I applied my stick on polish. The board only lasted for one use for me which was saddening.2
This nail file was basically completely worthless for my thick-ish nails. It was completely dull after filing three nails, and was bending like crazy. It's a cute design, but that's about all it's got going for it. I think if you have thinner nails, this would be great for you, but I have had better luck with the cheap files from the drug store.2
The emery board is obviously really pretty--so cute that I didn't even want to use it at first. But when I did, I realized that it doesn't actually work very well to file down nails at all. I had to switch back to my cheap cvs ones, since this one kept bending and didn't really do much filing.2
It was a very cute nail file, but as soon as I used it the emery part rubbed off. I only used it one time before it stopped being effective.2
