We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.
I used this emery board once and most of the grit has fallen off where I used it. Seems to very expensive for a one time use.1
This is the worst nail file I've ever used. After using this file about 5 times, the grit has almost completely fallen off and the paper is peeling away from the spine. The floral pattern is charming for sure, but your money would be better spent on just about any other nail file out there.1
Received this in one of Birchboxes. I loved the design on the emery board, but after a couple of uses, it started peeling and creasing. Just really falling apart. I feel that this is definitely cheaply made and I would never pay $5 for it.1
Very pretty emery board, but not very sturdy. This thing started to crease and fall apart after just a couple of uses. I can't justify paying extra for something that's pretty much disposable.1
I received this nail file in one of my first Birchboxes and I wasn't impressed. After one normal shaping of my nails the emery board was so dull that I couldn't really use it again...this emery board isn't very strong and doesn't last long at all. It's definitely not worth the $5!1
I'm glad this was included in my box because if I had paid extra for it, I'd be upset. This thing wore out after a couple of uses. The floral patterned side started peeling away and made it impossible to file a nail. The pink side lost the abrasive coating and became useless. I tossed it away after maybe a month.1
This nail file is actually weak and would bend as I tried to file my nails. It was so pretty, but just not well made. I wish it lasted longer. Mine is already in the garbage because the file part was all gone.1
I received this beautiful nail file in one of my Birchboxes and was initially thrilled with it. It came with a clear plastic protective sleeve, which I thought would help with protecting the file if I kept it in my purse. Fast forward to a week later, and the printed side peeled right off and essentially rendered the file useless. For $5, I can get at least 2 drug store files (in a pretty print, nonetheless), and even without a protective sleeve, they will hold up for months. Bottom line: it's pretty, but also pretty useless after a week of use.1
I thought this nail file was very pretty. However the design and the plain side emery immediately came off as soon as I used it. The pattern is lifting from the board itself and it's very flimsy. Not worth the money and ineffective!1
I'm confused as to why this product has three and a half stars. And why it was featured recently on the birchbox splurge item article. That makes me doubt the other products they have listed. This emery board worked great for the first use. But after a few uses, it was completely worn and the sides started peeling everywhere. I bought really cheap emery boards from the drug store that have lasted me for months.1
