We generally frown upon PDG (public displays of grooming) but this floral-patterned mini-file is so charming, we’re tempted to make an exception. Inspired by Madewell’s new spring collection, which features sun-ready prints and patterns like this one, the emery board is as practical as it is pretty. The double-sided nail care essential is perfect for daily maintenance and as a quick fix for snags or breaks.
This file was definitely very cute but wasn't the best quality. I keep it in my purse if I ever need it on the go but it's not something I would ever purchase.2
I was really excited when I got this because I love Madewell and the print of the nail file is really pretty. It didn't take very long for the rough side of the file to wear down and the paper to start peeling up at the sides though.2
Unfortunately I had to throw mine out as it came apart fairly quickly. Pretty bummed, as it was so cute too!2
I think this nail file is more for looks than actual use. It doesn't really do the job of filing my nails. It's pretty, but I wouldn't buy it.2
I really wanted to like this emery board, but from the first time I used it, there was almost no grit -- it felt like I was rubbing my nail against a piece of slightly bumpy plastic.2
This board is too thick to effectively maneuver around my nails. I much prefer to cheapo emery boards you can get at the drug store. This product is nice to look at though.2
I think this is the same Emery Board you can purchase from CVS. I didnt not think it was anything great In my box :(2
In the files defense I am a chronic filer and nail junkie, but man! The grit on this came off wayy to easy, with in a few times use I was down to the foam. my nails are not very long (hence the filing) nor are they very thick, so I dont see why this happened, when I can make a 2.00$ file from my local drug store last months! The print was very cute, but thisis not a product I would buy.2
I did not like this emery board at all, perhaps because I am used to using glass nail files. I found this very harsh on my nails. I've noticed that they broke more after using this file for few weeks.2
If you are the kind of person who likes to file your nails regularly instead of cutting them often, this product will not work out for you. It is really cute, and relatively inexpensive but after filing both hands, nearly all of the sand paper texture had rubbed off. It's basically comparable to the disposable ones you can buy at any beauty supply store much more cheaply. I had to throw it away after one use, so I wouldn't recommend purchasing this if you want a long term nail file.2
