We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
Not usually a fan of vanilla, but the spice and musk scents that accompany this vanilla make the perfume so much more than the name implies. It is a very warm and sensual scent for this winter, but I could see loving it all year.5
This is my new favorite fragrance brand! It has straightforward scents that reflect my favorite smells in life, in this case, vanilla!5
I'm too picky for perfume samples, wish we could eliminate them completely, oh well, this is sweet and floral so if you like that then try it1
I cannot stand vanilla scented anything so I really didn't like this. It's strong and very overwhelming, although it doesn't smell as fake as some vanilla does.2
Too much vanilla in all things lately- and I'm truly not a fan...1
I have been hesitant to make a huge investment on perfume in the past, but when I tried this as a sample I fell in love so hard that I immediately bought a big bottle. It is a musky rick vanilla, with out the syrupy sweet notes that smell juvenile in other Vanilla perfumes. My only complaint ( which isn't a complaint at all, really) is it's super subtle and not necessarily long lasting. It makes it about 1/2 through the work day, and no one ever compliments me on my scent unless we are in an embrace. I'd like for it to be a little stronger and last a little longer, but I absolutely love it over all.
I'm not too hyp on Vanilla scents but, this had a light and subtle smell of vanilla. I can't describe how good it smelled, but I honestly wouldn't mind paying for this. It wasn't a cheap, trashy, nor "something a little girl would wear" scent.5
Lovely is the best way I can describe this perfume. It's subtle, but not so subtle that it doesn't last until the afternoon or get masked by anything else. I'm a baker, so it's a rare day that I don't smell like baked goods, but this was still lingering by the end of the day. I got several compliments on it, and the vanilla wasn't so vanilla I wanted to gag. Definitely worth it!5
I was really excited to try Vanille Insensee from Atelier Cologne. I've also tried the Orange Sanguine and Cedrant, which I love. The vanilla doesn't work with my skin chemistry. I'm sure it would smell lovely on most people, but unfortunately it doesn't mix well for me.3
I received this sample in my box and have enjoyed wearing it. It's light and fresh fragrance earned me lots of smell compliments!4
