We fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue at first sniff. Unlike most vanilla scents, this one is fresh, not sweet. Top notes of bright lime and coriander mingle with middle notes of jasmine and oak moss, while Madagascar vanilla and amber notes anchor the scent. Happily, the romantic fragrance lasts all day — we’re smitten and you will be too.
Although I liked the scent ,it was not long lasting.I now own two of Ateliers colognes,Patchouli, and Orange Sanguine. This scent is not as sophisticated as the other two. Iv'e smelt other colognes similar and the prices were a lot less.
The Vanilla scent is right up my alley and I will be so disappointed when my sample is gone. Considering purchasing, it's just a bit more expensive than I usually am comfortable spending on fragrance.5
This sample was pretty nice, but it's a little too vanilla for my personal taste. I will agree with the write-up that it's not very sweet of smell - it's a lighter, springy scent.3
Lovely soft feminine fragrance. Wish I could afford to buy the full size. A little bit powdery smelling. Will be saving my pennies for a future purchase.4
I like this scent because it is not overwhelming. It just smells girly, which I love about it. Would definitely recommend!5
I already own another scent in this product line, so I'm familiar with how these colognes wear. I wasn't thrilled to get a vanilla-based scent, but I have to admit that the undertones make this scent more sophisticated and not like a teenager's bubble-gum scents. it's a nice transition scent from summer into fall. I'm enjoying it!5
This perfume is lovely however it was a tad sweet for me. I would recommend this brand to everyone as I do have another fragrance from them!2
I would love to make this perfume a daily one, but will have to wait as the price is a bit high.5
This is scent is incredibly delicious!!! It was such a tease as it will be something I will be saving up for!!5
The packaging this arrived in was really lovely: a postcard folded around the vial, then sealed in a translucent bag. It smelled nice -- and the idea of stationary really made me picture how I see this scent -- something I might use to scent stationary, but not to wear on my body.
When you first smell it, you are hit with musk. That's all I can smell from far away -- musk and spice. You have to really be up close to smell the vanilla notes, and I can't smell the lime at all. I prefer my scents to be a little lighter.
This is a heavy, sexy fragrance. If that's your thing, go for it.
