I have to preface this by saying that I am VERY picky about where I get my fragrances. I almost exclusively get them from indie perfumeries. So I was quite surprised by how much I love this! The included postcard is pretty, too, though mine was bent :/. When I read the notes, I was intrigued because I adore vanilla, jasmine, vetiver, and amber; and I like lime, oakmoss, cedret (citron), and oak (and the other notes sounded interesting). In the vial I smelled mostly vanilla backed by jasmine, with the lime creating an "uplifting" impression and the woods lurking. Wet on my skin the jasmine bloomed with sweet vanilla in a surrounding haze. Lime was subtle but added a suggestion of sharpness. On the dry-down, some woodiness was more apparent. I think the woodiness I smelled most was oak. But it was still dominated by vanilla and jasmine with a diffuse lime. Dry/later it was still heavy with vanilla and jasmine and was very sweet. It lasts a REALLY long time. Unfortunately, I can't wear it if I am feeling remotely migraine-y, because it will give me a headache. But I actually really love this. It's a sweet and pretty vanilla-based scent that isn't really foody (although I do tend to love gourmands, but that is neither here nor there). It's a fairly heavy, cloying scent, so it's not for everyone. But if you like it, it's perfect for cooler days.
